Animals do not have souls. There are some Chirstians who believe that they do and some believe that they do not. That is the only reason for the indecisiveness. It is not that we are as individuals going back and forth with our beliefs, it is that we are not all on the same page. The Christians who believe animals have souls think so because God made the animals and humans in basically the same way. (Organs, brains, blood, etc.) Christians like me believe that they do not have souls because why would God give man the authority over animals and the power to kill and eat them if they were on the same spiritual level that humans are?

why would animals not have souls? they are animals, so are we, just that we have bigger brains. the only way the would not have souls is if there were a certain part of the brain that was completely absent in animals. but thats science and i dont think christians believe that

The scriptures are clear, unambiguous and to the point. Neither animals nor humans have souls. Both animals and humans ARE souls. The soul is you - it is not something you possess. This has always been the Biblical teaching. It is Greek philosophy that teaches differently.

Animals do not have souls. No answer by ANY Christian should EVER say that animals have souls.
There is no indecisiveness.

Why do Atheists try to twist and change questions according to the answers? You say you don't believe you have a soul let alone a animal having one so why bother yourselves?

Because no one knows 100% if animals have souls. So, my dear, you are asking a question that will have different views, depending on who answers it. We all love animals, at least, most of us and we want to believe that they go to Heaven. I think they do, God created them, so He loves them too. The subject of God will bring many differing views. The important thing is to love God and honour Him.

Well they have a million or more sects and denominations in their religion. What the hell do you expect love? :-) Think about it. They can't even get it right amongst themselves. Yet they want to get it right with everybody else. They're all taught something different.

I call it the Christian Sidestep.
And critics say Christians are too rigid.
Re animals having souls (humans are animals too):
Ecclesiastes 3:19: "For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as one dieth, so dieth the other, yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity."
