I do think that there may be God or a higher power, but I just don't get the whole damnation to hell or acceptance to heaven. I haven't read the Bible so I don't know that much about heaven/hell. But it seems to me that people shouldn't have to go to hell just because they're not a certain religion. How do they know to believe in that religion? How are they sure that's the right one? Like Christianity.. All you have to do is like, accept Jesus.. but who's to say that you shouldn't accept Muhammed too? There are lots of religious people like Buddhists and Muslims who are very good people, and I just don't see why they would have to suffer eternal damnation. It doesn't seem right to me. (And vice versa for other religions).

April 3rd Kingdom Come hits bookstores. That is the last book in the series for those who are interested. The message in these books have changed my whole life. Having lost everything including my dignity I emersed myself into this series to get away from my life and loss and while I read the impact was insurmountable. I became happy and close to God. Anybody else experience this?

Do you think it would conflict the whole idea that we're "supposed to" live by God's rules, but If God in fact did create the universe, the alians would be made to worship him too, and if they didn't why dont those rules apply to them. would that fact prove God doesn't exist? just a thaught. ^_^

Considering that causality is not observable, only inferred according to sequence and context, is there such a thing as proof at all? and if so how can you substantiate such a claim?

Of her church. I've been previously married, and like I said, of different faith. What kind of fastball questions is this guy gonna zing at me regarding my faith and prior marriage? I don't have much patience or tolerance for religion anymore, but I told the fiance I'd behave myself. Just trying to get a feel for what I'm going to get asked.

Faith without works is dead. That means we need to share our faith with others. We must let the world know about Jesus and His sacrifice for all mankind. Jesus commanded us to do it in the Great Commission just before HE accended into Heaven. So if you do not share your faith you should not even call yourself a Christian, because you are not doing what Jesus said to do.

I ask again. Do you actively share your faith in your every day life?

I see people bash christians to death pretty much with their hateful words, and i am not looking for sympathy, but I am really confused at how much faster people will lash out a christians before muslim extremists who murder in the name of allah, before murderers who rape and kill people, often time children; of racists, and pretty much everything else bad in the world.

There are millions upon millions of chirstians being murdered for their faith in the sudan, but all I hear over here is how horrible and crazy christians are.

What bad have are we causing you and who have we killed.

What have we done to you? Be honest please.

First off, im a Lutheran and i realize that faith in Christ as our Savior makes fish on friday seem sooooo trivial, but im so curious. Im looking for a date/year. Im really not too sure, but would be willing to bet that fish hasnt been excluded from the meat category since the dawn of time. Please site your source whether it is from a specific church, the web, or a convo with the pope.
~~Bottom line: site your source, provide a date, short explanation of how and why, non-persuasive please - im not arguing

Where I live there is too much segregation and discrimination for my liking at different churches we have attended, and we have looked for mega-churches, but the ones we have seen don't preach my beliefs. Is it necessary to go to church to be a great chrisitian, or should I continue to look for a clone of Joel Osteen.
Please quote new testament if refrenecing the bible!

and you dissapear in the twinkling of an eye, and your car veers off the freeway, and lands on the house where a coven of witches is spell casting for world peace, killing all of them,
just what would that mean, anyway. Would you have to go to hell, then as a murderer? Or be rejoiced In Heaven, for doing a good deed?

Generally speaking, our ancestors were mistaken. It was a common belief that the world was flat and that the expanse beyound the edge of the Earth was God's domain alone. Obviously, they were wrong.

We now face a similar question of where God's domain might exist. Our universe seems as impossible a barrior to us as did the vastness of the oceans to our ancestors. Are you willing to be as wrong as the bulk of our a ancestors were? Are you willing to give the beyond to a god who probably isn't there?

Your thoughts, please.

Im a 25 year old male in CA USA, for about 7 years when i go to sleep at night I see things when my eyes are closed, I see my surroundings almost as i normaly would in the swirls of my phosphenes. motion is easiest to see, like waying my hand infront of my face, but I've seen other things as well (like my cat jumping on the bed). I havent really told anyone before for fear of them thinking i was crazy, but its becoming a problem. I have cronic insomnia and not being able to turn out the visial world is making it harder. has anyone heard of anything like this? it looks like fuzzy shapes only slightly lighter then the normal phosphene swirls. motion is easier to see, and things seem to leave a trail like in thoughs wierd 60s and 70 movies. I've even gotten visials of things you cant normaly see, like the studs in my wall. I dont do drugs or anything like that, and have no idea what this is. if anyone has any idea, please let me know.

thanks
Nathan

My brother- in-law is black. No problem. He does not have a job, always broke, always asking for money for diapers for his childeren that he and my sister-in-law keep having all the time knowing they can't afford it. No problem, I've been there myself. The only problem is that when he asks for money, and I don't have it, I'm suddenly a racist again, until I get paid on friday.

I put to you that any "scientist" that denys the proof of evolution by putting his faith before logic and reason, cannot expect their work to be taken seriously as science.

The "growing number of scientists" that they keep saying are against evolution is just a growing number of people who are falsely using the title "scientist".

It's the same as the insult to intelligence of dressing up creationism as "intelligent design".

The Bible says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, you and your whole household will be saved." and "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by me." (John 14) "He who has the Son, has Life. He who does not have the son of God, does not have Life."
