I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian and I find patriotism to be fundamentally contradictory to the Gospel message. What do you think?

This world is perfectly suited to our needs, and no other planets as far as we know have life, but there is no God, or creator. It was all chance like rolling a six on a thousand dice all at the same time? When history proves that there was a King David. There was a Pontius Pilate. There was a Jesus of Nazareth---in historical accounts outside the Bible, if you say there are not--you have not researched. There is much more evidence that God is real, than the incredible amount of probability involved in some cosmic explosion creating life and all of the conditions necessary for life, and perfect rotations of planets, and meteors not slamming us. Think about all the wonders of nature, abiogenesis, and tell me it was just random luck?

sorry had to ask it without the "your" in their or it'll get reported. So which song do you think best describes the way you see the world and the way you interact with your fellow human beings?

(and don't say 'Imagine' by Lennon cause that's too easy, be creative.)

It's hard for me to believe that everything happened due to a big bang lol, or that against all odds humanity came into existence for no more purpose than cellular adaptations. What will man evolve into? And why haven't we already?
Faith in God gives purpose, design and reason to the chaos of unbelief. What do you think? Im not poking fun, or disrespecting your beliefs, you have that right. What are your thoughts? with respect.

Did your god design women to bleed and cry on the first go around? If so, why? Does he like watching them suffer that much?

And does he really enjoy watching some men freak out, out of fear he's just hurt someone badly?

Please help me and pray for my boyfriend. We have been dating since we were 14 and now we are 22. We don’t live together if you’re wondering. I am a good Christian and he has accepted God. He even stopped drinking at one point and has started doing it as a form of relief when we get into serious arguments late at night. What he does is, drive off and get drunk with old friends that always call him for drinking. He does this about every 8 months. He use to do it every night before he became a Christian. He is a good man don’t get me wrong but, he this is his weakness. I don’t want to marry and have children with a man who behaves this way. Please pray for convection in his heart, or give me hope. I am so sad and in tears because I am running out hope.

I thought of something today...lets hear your opinion. If you were going to create a God of your own choosing, in what order would you want him to create the following? Sea life, birds, plants, stars, moon, sun, dirt (earth), land animals, human beings. Think about this seriously please. Seems rather odd that both science and the Bible have man coming last. A mere coincidence?

Do we just wander around plucking harps and polishing our halos or is there something more? I don't know about you, but I would get kind of bored wandering around like that for eternity.

And for the record, I AM a faithful church-goer, so please no "convert the heathen" answers and please no rude, snarky answers either. It's just something I've been thinking about....

Do you believe in any form of non-demonic esp?
Have you ever witnessed it?
I am talking about a God given gift to "see things" not presented in evidence at all or even spoken of for that matter. I have experienced this many many times myself, but i nor my family can explain it. It seems to be a gift in some cases, but in others it's like a curse. For example seeing things in people i don't want to see and don't want to know. Any ideas?

I'm happy with my life, it could be better, but man could it be worse. But really I've never needed a relationship with God to see the beauties this world and beyond has to offer. But how could this be, to be without God should seem like hell on earth, you imagine life as being a horrible nightmare without God, even now you're thinking how much better my life would be with God, yet you don't even know me, or anything about my life.

So let me tell you, it's good, I love life, I love myself, I love the people I've surrounded myself with. I'm not rich, I'm not lucky, I'm me, I dictate my life, I hold myself responcible, but also take credit for everything in my life.

And it's good, and all without Jesus, or God, or false highs (though I do the temporary highs once in awhile). Isn't that odd, or is there a reason behind it? Hmmmm.

I have seen many religious people claim that they get their morality from God and ask atheists where they get their morals from.

To all you religious people, let me ask a hypothetical question: Suppose you don't believe in God. Would you lie, steal, cheat, rape, kill, etc., etc. because you don't believe in him anymore and won't have to face eternal punishment?

In case you didn't realize it, the above question is a trap. If you answered yes you would, than you've just shown that you're a shady character and the only thing holding you back is fear of eternal punishment, not because it's immoral. If you answered no, then you've just shown that you don't need God to be moral.

Well I had a lot of questions concerning God, and everything related, like does God receive spam?

But then to all these questions, I'd get a handful of answers that says something like "He won't, because he doesn't exist", so then I said this was a question about God and to those who believe in Him, why would you answer if you don't believe in God?

He said because it was the truth. And sometimes he'd add something like wanting to eradicate religion, better if everyone is an atheist, stuff like that.

Well, a lot of Christians told me that evolution is false and all the other religion is false, and they say that's the truth.

So my question to the atheists is, is the truth thing and the trying to spread atheism thing is merely sarcasm, or are you serious?

Okay the first world ended in a flood and at time of creation Adam and Eve was created and Satan dwell among them. Now life from then went on and the first world was destroyed by a flood. God promised that he would never destroy creation this way again. Neverthless Satan still dwells among us. Apparently Satan did not die during the flood and where was he. That would mean spirit vs flesh. All flesh except the few God chose lived. No spiritual beings died and that is awesome to know cause Satan indeed has a throne somewhere. Flesh decayes and dies and spirit lives on. I am open to accept all opinion on this statement. What do you think?
