At my old Catholic school there was 1 kid out of 300 that did not do drugs. and that kid was me. and I still don't believe in a god like I should. And all those catholic school kids are still druggies. Maybe they believe they can confess all their bong hits and needle tracks to the preist and be saved. bullshit I say

i'm a Christian and that i'm torn on the undertaking of marijuana. definitely, all Christians might ought to agree that God created the stuff and he did it to make people experience greater effectual. inspite of the undeniable fact that, some might say that we ought to constantly not use it recreationally yet in basic terms to alleviate some misery. apart from, a good Christian who's unquestionably living existence to the fullest in all possibility might have little time for pot-smoking. Pot particularly does look to suck an excellent variety of folk in and destroy their lives, while alcohol often makes people ill and thereby deters extreme abuse in maximum people. All that being stated, i don't think of that pot-smoking must be considered as some variety of terrible sin. i'm particular there are a lot of Christians who smoke pot. particular there are greater effectual issues they could be doing with their time, yet then you definitely can say that a pair of lot of issues, like television, video games, etc. As I stated, i'm torn.

I do not have any feelings on it one way or another as far as whether or not it is sinful. I know very little about it. If it is addictive, then yes, it would be sinful. Also, we are not to do anything to our bodies that make us different from the way God created us to be. (I'm old fashioned and this would include make up, wigs, breast augmentation etc.) Doing things for health reasons would be okay. I have heard that some say that marijuana can be used to help dull pain in terminal cancer patients. I'm all for that to be honest. It is not really a matter of ethics as it is what purpose is it serving.

I view marijuana the same way I view alcohol... except with the added prohibition because it is illegal.
Christians are to obey local laws unless the laws interfere with our religion... so we have no excuse to be smoking marijuana which is definately illegal.
But let's say I'm in Amsterdam and someone offers me a joint - would I smoke it? Well maybe I might try it (again ;) ) once or twice. But I would not make a lifestyle out of it.
Because when you get high (or get drunk) regularly, you are dulling your cognitive abilities and hampering your judgement. You are taking God's gifts of self-control, your own will, your purpose, and your mind and dulling them, acting as if you were less than you are.
If you make a lifestyle of it, what if God wanted you to do something while you are high? You'd be too high/drunk to be aware, you'd be useless to God. If you want to serve God, you need to be in posession of all of the faculties and gifts that God gave you :)

I ask you this. Would you let your 1 year old child smoke it?
If not why would you.....
Pot has never helped me man. It used to make me feel super coordinated when in reality i was uncoordinated.
It slows down your reaction time and thought processing.
Hurts you in some private areas and further more is really just an aphrodesiac for women, but hey! To each their own, but i don't personally smoke it anymore.

It's illegal, so there goes "obeying authority" and it's very bad for your brain cells, so there goes being a good stewart of the body that Christ bought with a price (of course the same could be saif about over eating, etc.).
As far as the t-shirt, whoever created it obviously doesn't care what Christ did for them on the cross so they are mocking Him. It's pretty sad if you ask me (and pretty stupid).

Honestly? Okay, here goes. I don't believe that smoking pot is in and of itself a sin. However. Our minds are supposed to be kept clear, not influenced by drugs or alcohol.
Besides, I keep in mind something that Paul says in 1 Corinthians 6:12:
"Everything is permissible for me"—but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"—but I will not be mastered by anything.
How can we NOT allow our bodies to be mastered by something, if we're partaking in marijuana, or any other drug? I quit smoking pot two years ago. I'm perfectly happy with my decision. AND I've seen too many people destroy their lives using it. My pothead friends are still living at home, barely making ends meet. They tell me, "I can quit any time I want to." But what they DON'T say is, "But I don't want to."
They aren't being mastered by themselves, or even God. They're being mastered by marijuana.
So that's my take on it. However, if people want to smoke it, that's between them and God.

I saw the tee shirt too! I think he was just being silly, that's youth. Marijuana is illegal, therefore Christians should not be using it.

I'm not Christian but I don't think marijuana is ever a good idea, it takes away all of your ambition and creativity, and basically makes you a loser if you smoke it.
