Do you believe in any form of non-demonic esp?
Have you ever witnessed it?
I am talking about a God given gift to "see things" not presented in evidence at all or even spoken of for that matter. I have experienced this many many times myself, but i nor my family can explain it. It seems to be a gift in some cases, but in others it's like a curse. For example seeing things in people i don't want to see and don't want to know. Any ideas?

I have always had the gift as well.
I think God has used me many times in other people's lives to connect with them thru me personally. Think what you will, but i was raised in church all of my life; Adopted; Give God all of the Glory.
He has established my whole life.
My best friend got shot a while back in 1996 on new years day.
I was at a party then with him and wa drunk ( i wasn't in church at the time but still kept my faith as it has always been in my heart), but anyhow. God made the Holy Ghost come over me and i had to get up and go talk with him.
I asked him to admit to me he believed in God that we had known each other from early childhood and he told me know man, you know i am atheist and have always been atheist. 2 weeks later he got shot. His grandmother told me he prayed for me all the time and talked about me always. God gives me the gift... that i know, but sometimes it is painful to know some of the things i know. Know what i mean?

Ya know sometimes i think it is knowledge as well.
Kind of like when you've been happy you can see when someone else is happy because you know what happiness is.
Anyhow thanks for all your responses i greatly appreciate it and God Bless you all!

Hi
First of all you should be happy! Secondly God wouldn't give you a gift He feels you can't handle.
I'm a Christian and not shy to say it! I believe in the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit. God said, fill your cup with the Holy Spirit. Amen. i believe that you have a calling upon your life and that God whats you to use it in the right way. By helping others and by praying for others. Seeing Demons? Bind and Rebuke them. Dude you have a Godly given gift. I'm sure He wants you to use it in the right sense of it all.
God bless

Yes, I believe that God does give people gifts like that.
Before I tell my story, I am so sorry about your friend. There are only three things worse than losing a friend: Losing a parent, losing a spouse, and losing a child.
Yes, I believe God has given me the gift of occasional precognition. Two weeks before one of my best friends was killed in a car accident, I dreamed that he was killed. He was in Wyoming at the time, and I tried for several days to get ahold of him. His family must not have thought it was urgent even though I kept calling every couple of days. He was killed on the way back home.
I knew six years ago that eventually I was going to wind up in Europe. I knew my dad was dying four years before he passed away (I was only six when I realized he was dying). I've seen possibilities for both my past and present, if another path had been chosen. I saw EXACTLY the way things would have happened.
I've had visions of hell, and I've seen something like auras. They may have been auras, for all I know.
And occasionally, if the tides are just right, I can hear peoples' thoughts. This doesn't happen very often, and it only happens with certain people. Sometimes their thoughts are so loud that they might as well have been speaking aloud. And before someone dismisses this as a load of crap, I've TOLD people what they were thinking, and they got really freaked out because I was right.
I believe these things are gifts, of sorts, but they're also a curse, because people don't believe in them. And having experienced these things makes me REALLY scared to tell anybody. Only a few of those whom are close to me know.
But I don't mind sharing here, anonymously.
And one last thing. One time, when I was reading Revelations (this happened right after I became a Christian), I saw EVERYTHING as it was happening, and I knew what all of it meant. I forgot it immediately (I don't think we're meant to know), but I've had other visions since then of what's going to happen. They're scary, but at the same time, I have such peace about it. Just don't ask me to describe them. As I said, as soon as I have them, they're gone.

I am a Christian and I have also experienced thinking about something and then seeing it happen. If I don't give it a second thought then it happens, but if I think twice about it then it doesn't. This has happened a lot to me over the years.
Do I beleive it's a gift from God? No. If it was then it would happen no matter what. I would lean more towards demonic influence. I do believe that God gave similar gifts to prophets man years ago in the OT and the NT before the church was established and the Bible was completed, but not today.

There are many spiritual gifts spoken of in the Bible. I have personally had premonitions of events in my life. We shrug these things off as deja vu', but deja vu' is inadequate to explain the clarity of some events that occured in my life that I plainly dreamed about years before. Do I consider that these things are ESP, or that I have some form of prophetic gift? No. As far as seeing things in others that you'd rather not, I've experienced this too. One of the spiritual gifts is discernment of spirits (I have this gift). Read I Corinthians for more info on spiritual gifts. Kind of sad that the only spiritual gifts anyone talks about anymore is prophecy and speaking in tongues. I feel so left out.

Yes, I have the same gift.
Its not something I can control or "summon up" and I do now regard it as a gift from God.
I try to use it for the benefit of God though and when I "see" things I am not sure I want to know, I figure its something I NEED to know and take it at that.

I'm a Christian and I can see energy, auras, and even something 'things' about people. whether they are future events I've no idea. I believe it is a gift from God, and my preacher agrees with me. He must have a use for it, and so I practice it for the day He reveals it to me.

the ability to 'see things' is probably present in all of us with differing levels of talent.
I'm not sure I would call it "God-given" any moreso than being able to run fast or jump high.
(BTW: Buddhists have the same kind of "spiritual gifts")
It's just not acknowledged in most of western-civ other than "intuition". Some other cultures seem to have a different way of viewing the "spiritual".
Perhaps more important is what you do with it.

When you say 'see things' do you mean like predicting the future, or just having a gift of perception?

I think you mean someone who is sensitive to the Spirit. I have witnessed that and felt it before. I do think it is real and its happened to me several times, when you can sense when someone is evil and you don't have to say a word to them. I think it is God's Spirit guiding us.
I think the wicked feel our Spirits too.
