Well I had a lot of questions concerning God, and everything related, like does God receive spam?

But then to all these questions, I'd get a handful of answers that says something like "He won't, because he doesn't exist", so then I said this was a question about God and to those who believe in Him, why would you answer if you don't believe in God?

He said because it was the truth. And sometimes he'd add something like wanting to eradicate religion, better if everyone is an atheist, stuff like that.

Well, a lot of Christians told me that evolution is false and all the other religion is false, and they say that's the truth.

So my question to the atheists is, is the truth thing and the trying to spread atheism thing is merely sarcasm, or are you serious?

Oh, and do you like steak with mushroom sauce or pan-fried dory fish with lemon?

Atheists are just as naive as those who immerse themselves in religious faith. They are sure of the lack of existence of god in the same way that religious folks will swear blue in the face that there is a god! In the same way they preach the way the light, but theirs is one of no god.
The only scientific view point that is accurate is agnosticism... Being that no-one really knows if there is a god or not, no-one should be trying to convince anyone of anything! In essence Atheism is a religion of sorts!

Thanks. I'll stick with ice-cream.

I have come to realise that stating ones opinions in a question aimed at someone else is rarely useful.

So I agree, just saying 'you're wrong' is pointless, whichever side you're coming from. Surely no-one actually expects to change someone's views like that?

So personally I don't. Though I can sympathise with people who may get bored with "there's no such thing as an atheist" or "God has all the answers" and replies 'in kind'.

But I do think that some atheists honestly believe that religion (or belief systems) are a negative influence both on people and the world. Now, I don't necessarily agree with this. But I guess if that's your honest opinion then is it any more unreasonable to state it than something equally dogmatic from the religious camp?

So I think sometimes it's sarcasm and sometimes it really is serious.

everybody has the right to beleive in whatever they want thats one of the great things about this country we live in so why does everyone continue to push there beliefs onto others im not religous but i do know the beliefs of some of them so i can argue the points im not going to disrespect someone by not know about there religion then arguing against it so my question is that if christianity says to accept people for you they are than why is every other religion wrong thats not accepting someone thats pushing them aside and not following you own religion oh and the lemon fish

People will always feel bound to pass on their opinions.
Some people (and my personal belief is that it is because they are insecure in their own beliefs) feel the need to inflict these opinions on to other people.

This isn't always to do with religion but can occur with ethics, values, race, sport - indeed anything which people believe passionately.

I respect peoples opinions may be different to mine but when they inflict that on me is when i have a problem with it.

I would assume if atheists are answering religious questions they are merely trying to be heard because they aren't strong enough in their convictions.

oh and i'll have the steak please without the mushroom sauce.

Basically it comes down to one person's word against the other. I could say that there is no proof for the existence of God, and that evolution is happening around us everyday. But then someone religious (and I'm not restricting it soley to Christians) will come and say that there is no proof of evolution, but we can feel god in the wind and we read his words in the Bible.

The fact is - there is no proof to the existence of any God/s. there is no proof of Aliens visiting Earth, and there is a little proof to evolution.

And I'd go with the Steak.

Sometimes debating Christians, is like arguing with a crying 5 year old, you can only hear "you're not the boss of me" so many times before you snap and start using sarcasm.

Steak.

No, it is actually the other way around. The Christians trying to spread their religion, but when they hit the wall, they blame the altheist, just like how they blame the muslims whenever a terrorist act is committed.

I don't take steak and fish ;P.

atheist push their religion on others as well, by taking away the freedom of others to speak what they believe, by taking down religious-based monuments, taking God and prayer out of schools. Atheism can be highly oppressive to all religions not only christianity.

You're on point completely.
