we cant say that science is god in this world...there are still huge amount of people who worship god...
and..some people think there's no god..and they are kinda scientific...thats all...

now, that plane crash part --> I do think that it is a because of both god and science...plane crashed because of some problem (it is science) and one survived (becasue of god)

Science is not a God. Science is a process, and a process has no intellect and can accomplish nothing on its own.

If a plane crashes and only one person survives, then it is likely that given the specific type of accident, that there was one single place in that plane where the forces were balanced enough, and the person in the proper position, and he or she was lucky enough to have been there and survived. It's simply luck or coincidence. Nothing more.

Technology can help people live. Technology is the application of science in a practical manner, but it too does not take the place of a god. Perhaps one can use technology on an unsuspecting primitive people and appear as a god, but still, this is technology. It is merely a tool.

Oh no, don't talk about planes crashing! I just went though an ordeal with plane rides... I'm still shaken up.

No, if only one person survives chances are they were one of the few who payed attention to the safety directions at the beginning of the flight. It's mixed of pure luck and happenstance. It has nothing to do with Deities. It has to do with the weather, the pilot's skill, and any number of other factors. Praying might very well help ease the anxiety of a plane ride for some, but pray alone is not going to keep you alive.

And no, science is not a god. That's like saying history or math is a god.

Believe it or not, some science requires more faith that being a believer does. Evolution is a great example of a scientific theory that requires a great deal of faith to accept it as true. Just to many missing elements. In our highly technical society, yes science is our god in many instances. For some reason, people will take the word of another person before they will take the word of God simply because the guy is a so called "expert"

As to your plane crash scenario, it could be a specific act of God yes, but it could also be that the person was in the right place at the right time.

How does science even fit into this question............other than the mathematical probability that one person would survive? It is probable that one person would survive given the trajectory of steel, where the person was sitting yada yada............ A bridge collapses; will some survive, most likely yes, a bomb explodes will people survive yes, etc etc............its just luck of the draw. It happens to the animal kingdom everyday...............a family of racoons cross the road when a car is coming, 4 survives one dies is thier something Divine in that too and by the way the contradition to that is..................religious people say HUMANS are the chosen ones and animals have no value on this planet other than being put here for us to govern, eat, rule so don't turn around and say they god's creatures cause that is just hypocritcal.

God works through science. He works through laws to run the world, just as he works through laws to bring justice and to grant mercy. People often use science to discredit God, yet it doesn't discredit his existence. He lives. I have experienced his hand in my life many times, and I am sure someone could come up with a scientific reason for each one. I just don't get why they all happened when they did. There are times when things that seem like mere coincidences of randomness have stacked up to a point where there is almost no chance for coincidence left. People treat science like God, yet God does exist, and he works through science.

No God, we have science and technology all made by man. The child lived due to a fluke.

I think that science leads to a good understanding of the world, and I think that believing what a book written by people who died thousands of years ago says leads to a poor understanding of it.

The child survived due to a very fortunate stroke of luck, not the action of some god. If it were a god, why just save this one child?

It is called the *will* of God, thier time was up, for all those that died, and extra time for the one that survives. Qadr as we would call it.

Nature is a scientific name for God. Science is a method of explaining God's creations.
