God is not tolerant of sin, but He gives us free will, so that when we come to Him it is from our choice. After the new covenant, when He came to save the whole world, He sent His son Jesus to wash all of our sins when we repent, and He sent the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort us. All we have to do is cry out for him, and accept Jesus as our Savior and live His will. Christians are all-powerful, through His power which lives in us. If we use it.

You are absolutely correct!!!! God cannot even stand to be in the presence of sin, that is why HE turned His back on Jesus when HE was on the cross. We as his people should have the same abhorrence for sin as HE does.
Thank you for this question, it is a very good and thought provoking one.

what a good question. I wish everyone would ask themselves this question. God doesn't tolerate sin at all. He quite despises it. If you sin... (that's everyone) you should be sure that when the Father looks at you, that He sees Jesus.

Sin is a misnomer. Actually they are mistakes done either knowingly or unknowingly. If knowingly done, you will have a guilty feeling. If done unknowingly, then it will not constitute a mistake.

Epicurus was a philosopher, Greek, I believe. The following is a quote of his:
Is God willing to prevent evil but not able?
Then his is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"
