I put to you that any "scientist" that denys the proof of evolution by putting his faith before logic and reason, cannot expect their work to be taken seriously as science.

The "growing number of scientists" that they keep saying are against evolution is just a growing number of people who are falsely using the title "scientist".

It's the same as the insult to intelligence of dressing up creationism as "intelligent design".

In truth, the number of PhDs on the creationist side is trivial and mostly includes people with no more knowledge of biology than the average person. It cracks me up every time they march out some Bozo with a PhD in physics who believes in nanoseconds but not millennia.

Every life science (all aspects of biology, medical science, etc) and every other science with disciplines dependent on biology (paleontology, anthropology, environmental sciences, biochemistry, etc) is dependent on the scientific theory of evolution for their very existence.

If evolution is false, then all of the life sciences collapse; their knowledge is false (including modern medicine); and everything we think about the natural universe is wrong. In short, if we are wrong about evolution then there is no such thing as objective human knowledge or rational thought and we are hopelessly lost to ever understand anything.

Far from being a secondary player in science, evolution is the most powerful general explanatory theory in all of science. Physics has nothing that can match it. Gravity, electricity, and nuclear theory are slick little descriptive theories, but they do not have the explanatory reach, power, and inclusiveness of evolution.

Evolution represents the biological equivalent of the unifying theory physicists have spent hundreds of years trying to find. Those who insist on denying evolution are no different from those who denied the Copernican universe - and it was their very religion that wanted to kill Galileo.

No scientist has ever claimed than anything happens by chance. In fact, that would be a contradiction of the very purpose and nature of science. You should not criticize things when you do not even know what they are and you cannot even define them. It really does make you appear uneducated.

Show me some "proof". No scientific proof of evolution has ever been found. It's still all theory and "what if"s. Why don't you do some research before you run at the mouth?

The growing number of "scientists" concerned about global warming has the same problem.
By the way, alot of scientists really have been questioning evolutionary theory as of late. There was a group of evolutionary biologists that came together in the late 90's in an attempt to prove that evolution must be true. After 3 months of debate and Q&A, they decided that only intelligent design made sense.

It's the same as the insult to intelligence of dressing up creationism as "intelligent design".

I don't think anyone was really trying to hide that one. The media certainely tried to make it look that way though. By the way, the term "intelligent design" was originally coined by an evolutionist. He used is in his calculations so he wouldn't have to admit that "creationalism" was a viable alternative to evolution - so he invented a new word for the same thing.

As a previous poster said, I'm glad you aren't paid to think.

As so many atheists are so very fond of saying, "Science is science." If they can scientifically back up their claims, they have every right to be taken seriously. I mean, seriously, what do scientists offer us as "proof?" Some bones. Some rocks with grooves in them that look like they might have had a dead thing on them for a long time. A plethora of if's and maybe's and suppose's and a bunch of stuff they made up because they don't know any more than anyone else. Dark matter my hind leg!! I don't see how anyone can see the incredible amount of order and structure in the universe and not believe in God. It is plainly ludicrous to conclude that ALL THIS is just some random thing that just happened to happen. Idiocy.

Why do evolutionists expect us to believe everything happened by chance. Here's an analogy I read from someone of what it would take to even make evolution plausible. Blow up electronic shops and then sift through the rubble and find a working, intelligent, programmed robot that wasn't there before.

Evolutionists insult the intelligence of intelligent people.

Whew!

Non-believers have become increasingly shrill of late, apparently hoping that saying something more loudly and more dogmatically will make it seem more credible, especially to their embattled supporters.

Believers have nothing to fear from this hostile rhetoric, unpleasant through it may be. Hopelessly overstated arguments that once seemed so persuasive such as "science disproves God" have lost their credibility, becoming mindless slogans, where once they were cutting-edge ideas. Their rhetoric is about preaching to the converted, shoring up a collapsing building with rhetoric rather than rigorous argument.

Would you call a man who teaches astro physics at UCLA a person who has no credability? He is one of the anti-evolutionists you speak of. Or how about a renowned geologist? Or an astronomy professor? They are all against the evolutionary theory and pro intelligent design. You are saying that they put their faith before their science....well, couldn't the same be said for those scientists that do not believe in God? They are putting their lack of belief before their science also. They are convinced that there is no God therefore they automatically rule out any evidence that might link creation to God. For those of you who have a genuine interest..check out Coreresearch.com and their scientists. I have and I would love to have their credentials.

I agree with you, in every respect. Indeed, the "growing number of scientists" is obviously a fabrication. Although evolution has been established science for a hundred years, I don't know of anyone other than me who has proved it to be a fact; details are available on request.

Why does anyone expect a Christian to believe in evolution? My science teacher admitted to me when I questioned him about evolution that he believed God created the earth. He had to teach it, it's in the book. Of course, that was when God was still "allowed" in school.

type is the spice of life. in case you % life with much less spice, then we would desire to constantly all pursue know-how, information, and psychological stimulation the suitable comparable way. i like spice, myself. There are extra techniques of understanding than purely the medical technique. ideally, they might desire to all be complementary...they might desire to advance one yet another, and make a extra ideal , broader portray of "life" while used mutually. technology is now exploring issues that have been "metaphysical" no longer too some time past...and faith and philosophy are transforming into extra medical of their innovations-set.,.. this could be a good element, IMHO.

Guess that why you are not the one giving out the degrees. You pass the math, the science, etc. You get the degree. Your grades are just as good as the atheist's. You know as much as he does. You are a scientist.

Any person who enters this "science proves there is not a God" propaganda should not be classified as a scientist. Disproving God is not the business of science. Besides that 66% of scientist believe in God, and 76% of doctors.
