Christianity seems to be headed down the drain

The Atheist population is growing. Thanks to the internet.
It's hard for Christians to lie about Atheists when there's so much info on the internet

Buddhism in short, says that unhappyness is caused by want, desires and material earthly things. How does one live in this world today free of desires? Can a buddhist live life peacefully and modestly while still wanting things occasinally? we all want sometimes so is want OK in moderation.

If you do then Revelation 22:18 should come true. Lets test it...

“I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.” Revelation 22:18
I will add to Revelation 22:12-14

12"Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.
1. 14"Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.

Here goes...

I did a two card spread about two potential relationships I could embark upon, one with my ex-boyfriend of almost two years, and another with a friend of almost five. Card 1 was the relationship with my ex and card 2 was the relationship with my friend...
Card 1: The Star
Card 2: The Chariot

Which one of these, in your opinion, is more promising?

This is a quote from a Christian on this site

" You are a stupid dumb bass!!! (I am forgiven!)
You are a real freak charlie- its people like you that destroy anything good. racist, hateful, worthless, and so on.."...

Note: Notice he said "I am forgiven" This is the low standard of behavior that causes Christians to become evil.

I've always wondered about the people in modern times that say God spoke to them and how others perceive them. With the exception of people such as David Koresh or Jim Jones that did crazy things in the so called name of God, who are we as ordinary people to say that God isn't really speaking to someone? When somebody says "God spoke to me He told me to do this or that" most people look at the person like "Oh really?...He did?...whatever!" and they are labelled as a schizo or liar.

If people can believe in Moses and Noah and the number of other biblical figures that the Bible says God spoke to, then why can we not believe a person in the present who claims to have conversations with God?
Please don't tell me "Because Moses and Noah are in the Bible!" Yes, I know that I am fully aware of most of the stories I went to Catholic school from second grade through twelfth grade I am just asking an honest question.

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death but a fresh perspective is always nice.

It is my opinion that Evolution is fact.

I think the whole controversy is that Evolution doesn't disprove A God. It does however disprove the Christian God by throwing the whole book of Genesis out the window. This forced CHristians to have the whole Intelligent Design thing drawn up. Anyway you look at it the Bible has been scientifically disproven. To be fair I'm Agnostic. I never discount anything for sure as long as there isn't any evidence to the Contrary. So I say yes there could be a God. Just not any that humans have conjured out of thin air.

So What are your thoughts?

I'm just wondering if there's anyone else out there who does that.

I personally say no and don't tell them how, because I don't want to be blamed by anybody for "sending their soul into the fiery pits of Hell".

Do you think we, as a society, could convince the next generation of anything no matter how ridiculous it was?

I mean, it's hardly ever to find someone from these beliefs (or non-beliefs) to be narrow-minded. They are usually accepting of others, and they never (Pagans & Buddhists) tell you that you'll be a toast if you don't believe in what they believe in. They always have this positive attitude towards different people with different beliefs, colors, sexualities..etc Why is that?

---> Hateful responses will be reported.
