In one of Sylvia Brown's shows she said that not all persons make it to the other side. So what happens to that spirit. Where does it go ?

First of all, Sylvia Brown is a complete scam. Look on YouTube for many instances of her being proven wrong.
Secondly, I can't really tell you what happens after death because my beliefs probably differ from yours. There is no proven answer.

I know nothing of Sylvia Brown but the Bible says only 144,000 will go to heaven and they will be the ones who are chosen to rule as kings and priests with Christ. It also says that a great multitude of other sheep will live forever on a paradise earth as God originally intended. The spirit in every person returns to God when the person dies and it is not where the personality of the person is. The resurrected ones will live either on earth (after the 2nd resurrection) or in heaven (in the 1st resurrection). There is no consciousness after death without the resurrection.

They become lost in the spiritual world if they are lucky. But if there is a hell, that will be terrible for them. These spirits will be confined to that place. They will be better to be at lost since they can at least roam about in the spiritual world. Those who don't believe in spirit in a human think that when dead, they remain as a small heap of dust. They just vanish.

Heaven, or the Kingdom of God, is for the citizens of that Kingdom. King of Kings and Lord of Lords would be Jesus Christ.
What does not belong in the Kingdom of God, is destroyed.
Do you remember Satan's first lie..."Thou shalt not surely die"?? It is still a lie. According to God, "The soul that sinneth, it shall die".
It really is as simple as that.

when you die your soul goes to where ever god is ,that will be heaven. Those who believe in Christ will be in one place , the people who did not believe in Christ will be in another. Between the two places will be a big abyss that no one can cross. But the unbelievers will got one more chance. If they fail to believe after that it is finito.

Bhudists beleive that you will be reincarnated, into whatever, depending on your behavior in this world. Thats why they give to the poor and are encouraged to do good (making merit)
