And in spite of all that, you still can't form a sentence that would pass a fourth grade grammar exam.
I think the internet has made it possible for people to connect with other people who think the way that they do. Thus, it would seem to you that the atheist population is growing.
On the other hand, I never knew that there was so much hostility toward Christians before I had the internet.
I never knew that so many Christians were being persecuted, and even killed for their faith all over the world.
Most of all, I never really knew how many Christians there actually are.
Seems to me that, as Jesus promised, although the gates of hell are doing their utmost to prevail agianst His church, all the effort ain't worth spit.
So, even if there are more atheists than ever before, and even if the church were to seem as if it were going down the drain....
As He has done before.....
Jesus will
make
a
grand
come back.
So, I'm not worried about you and your atheist friends. Have fun, but remember.
It ain't over till it's over.

Well nothing like blowing your own horn. It doesn't matter if the atheist population is growing, there will always be Christians around, because like it or not, God is in the drivers seat. It's also hard for atheists to lie about things too, because of the Internet. Its a two way street, there Baby Cakes.

personally Christianity pisses me off or Anglicans what ever they call themselves. Yes atheist are growing but then again which religion isn't? it may seem that way to you because of maybe others that have the same interest as you, and its nice right? Christianity may see me as an atheist but I'm not, I just have my own beliefs in what I see or think god is and that's okay. They seem to be slipping because they are raising the bar to what a good human being of god should be like. Have they ever asked God how we should really live our lives like? no. Then atheist seem to forget what God is? or it seems. I see it like this, both sides are going to the extreme, nobody is right and nobody ever will be right, its just human nature. But I also say "What ever floats ur boat, go for it!"

we Christians have far more important things to think about than our 'reputation'...haven't you heard? 'pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall'...all this concern about reputation seems a bit childish and superficial...as for the mighty internet, i'd check my enthusiasm at the door, along with those millions that the nigerian finance minister will be releasing to you any day now...as long as you don't stick your finger in a payphone coin slot and get pricked by an AIDS infected needle, or get bitten by one of those spiders that are hiding under a public toilet seat...it's been said that 'ninety percent of everything is bunk'...the quote definitely applies to the internet...if you believe half of what you read, you may as well subscribe to the national enquirer...Christ's church is growing daily-not as quickly as we would like; there is much work to be done-but i have faith...a final thought...Christians need not lie about atheists...based on the posts i've seen in this forum you are your own worst enemy...

Hmm I don't think so. I think the intelligence of both groups is getting less and less. Example: The God Delusion and Letter to a Christian Nation. Foolish arguments. I really wish there were more people like Thomas Paine, he would put all the Atheists to shame. Atheists think they are the champions of logic, evidence, etc, but I believe in the contrary.

Yes, it seems so. I attribute it to two things that the Internet has helped expose:
a) a strong undercurrent of agnostism bordering on atheism that has always been out there but that the Internet has allowed to unify
b) the soft underbelly of christianity - i.e., a LOT of doubting christians who finally have information.
It only seems logical that atheism will grow as a result.

What makes you think that.
Communism is OPENLY and EXPRESSLY atheist. They come right out and say it. Hence we tend to associate YOU with THEM, the good old USSR, Red China, North Korea and Cuba. Boy that's good company.
Atheists are attempting to do away with the Christmas holiday, something the Unions and the common man opposes. No one wants one more work day or one less paid holiday.
Godless scientists and Lawyers and Socialist politicians banded together in secrecy and created the Atomic Bomb and then dropped it two times on Japan. OR are you saying the POPE and Billy Graham dreamt this one up. That THEY invented the ABOMB!
This is your legacy, like it or not.
I can't see why ANYONE would want to be associated with your kind.
It would strike me that "decline to state" would be the up and coming thing.
Maybe a law should be passed REQUIRING NON BELEIVERS to work on Christmas and FORBIDDEN holiday pay to them for that day.
Christians don't get off for Rosh Hasshana!

I would have agreed with you until a few years ago.
Christianity was in a downward spiral, but then it shot back up after 9-11 and Passion of the Christ.
However, I also think that people like Bush, and Haggard, and Falwell, and the Pope are doing everything they can to bring it back into that downward spiral.

well, there are a lot more scientific theories being proven such as evolution and the big bang. this might be contributing. let's not forget that this would piss off most if not all christians, and we all know what happens when they get mad... (need i remind you of the crusades or the spanish inquisition) there are more and more atheists every day because knowledge, reason, and free thought are spreading .
