Every religion has its fanatics.
If they are genuine Christians, they will think before they speak. Hypocrisy runs rampant among people with little education in their personal beliefs and convictions. Religion is not a "get out of jail free card" that they can use anytime they spout evil and hate.

Well, I will just site an example of a very well known and respected Christian, the apostle Paul...and his thoughts on this matter
1 Corinthians 9: 26 & 27: "Therefore, the way I am running is not uncertainly; the way I am directing my blows is so as not to be striking the air; 27Â but I pummel my body and lead it as a slave, that, after I have preached to others, I myself should not become disapproved somehow.'
even Paul knew that it certainly does matter what we do every moment of our lives!
Matthew 24:13: "But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved."
So the idea of "once saved always saved" is not a biblical teaching, but rather a mistaken doctrine of man...sadly mistaken in this case because it has emboldened someone just to be rude and disrespectful to another human. That does not sound like it is from God!
Jesus said:
Matthew 7: 13 & 14: "“Go in through the narrow gate; because broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and many are the ones going in through it; 14Â whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and few are the ones finding it."

This is probably my main problem with Christianity. As a whole I think that it is full of many wonderful ideas. I can't stand that they think all is forgiven simply by asking for forgiveness. I've recently found out that the only unforgiveable sin is denouncing God or Jesus or something like that. Murder is perfectly acceptable as long as you are sorry and that just does not fly in my world.
My question is this: If I killed a Christians child but then accepted Jesus and repented and atoned for my sin. Should the parents of that kid (being good forgiving folk) accept that I have atoned and accept me over for a cup of tea.

Sounds like the self-righteous Christians of the inquisition...Wow! They slaughtered people in the name of God, everyone they found with a bible in their possession, they burned them at the stake. This sort of things or people who talk like this are enough to turn anyone away from even God if people truly believe that this is what it means to know God and be forgiven. Poor you! (that you even had to read that!)

NO, this is not correct... your speaking on one persons actions and generalizing about a whole group of people. Read the word for yourself and you will understand that it doesnt work like that. Jesus teaches us to love and be kind and compassionate. He knows that we will sin, but we must repent sincerly. If we continue to commit the same sin, time after time, Jesus realizes that our repentance was not sincere... he knows our hearts! Whoever told you that, Jesus know their heart also... and will deal with them accordingly.

I apologize for all Christians, my guess is he was not a true Christian and just having some fun with you. All Christians do aknowledge they are sinners, but if they continue negative behavoir ,real Christians would question their conversion.

A lot of people are "forgiven" that is why they can be greedier, forever lie, cheat, and conniving. They can't do any wrong because "god" will forgive them.

EXACTLY. Those pathetic tree-hugger so-called-Christians who think God is nothing but love and forgiveness need to stand a LOT closer to their Bibles. If a human can see through their self-important posturing, then they don't even have a prayer with God. Hell is too good for them.
