Wow, how'd that guy get his avatar upside down..
There are real psychics. But here's the thing. One has to be careful that these people are getting their "power" from Satan. I really do mean this. Satan comes as an angel of light and he can draw people to him by giving them power.
Here's what the bible says about mediums and people like this:
et no one be found among
you who sacrifices his son or daughter in
the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens,
engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or
spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is
detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices
the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you."
(Deut. 18:10-12)
2 kings 23: 24 Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household
gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he
did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had
discovered in the temple of the LORD. "
Lev 19:31, "'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.
I am the LORD your God. 'I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and
spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.

Isaiah 8:19, "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and
mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the
living?
1 chronicles 10:13,"13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a
medium for guidance."

There are supposedly many who use different methods. Some seem to get their information from the deceased or spirit world. There is also remote viewing which is supposed to be a clinical term for psychic phenomena or astral traveling etc. And then there is Fraud also.
