baptized bretheren will be saved on the day of judgement, that he cannot possibly "respect" the beliefs of others, for he/she knows that the flames of hell have been stoked by these very ideas and await their adherens even now?

Well, if it was a belief of no God, then isn't it right that Atheists therefore must believe and try to prove a negative?

And who doesn't know a negative is unprovable?

I have been through that kind of conversation where you have to find many answers regarding what we as Muslims do and why, that was with someone from Spain.

It will be great if anyone can help me with that, I mean if you have something like FAQs using reason and proof in English will be great and enough as well.

The main point is that they think that we are following some rules blindly without even knowing the benefit behind the rules, like for simplicity: we are just hating pork while it will not make us any bad if we started to eat it.

Guide me if you can and thanks in advance.

God created Adam and Eve as adults, and the animals and plants mature, wouldn't it make sense that God would create a mature earth? That's why I don't see the point in the age of the earth debate.

This question is for Christians who believe that Satan plays an active part on Earth.

I have seen some Christians use the description 'the work of the Devil' and even describe other faiths as 'demonic'. So for those of you who believe that Satan is active here on Earth, I would be grateful for an explanation of your reasoning.

I am particularly interested in your views on other faiths. Do you think that followers or founders of other faiths such as Islam or Buddhism are/were influenced or created by Satan? How about atheists, who believe in no God? And if so, what would be Satan’s purpose?

I would prefer your own words rather than scriptural quotes, thank you.

For non-Christians, I am planning a follow-up question, so please wait for that to add your views, thank you!

This guy arrives at the Pearly Gates. He has to wait to be admitted, while St. Pete leafs through his Big Book. He's checking to see if the guy is worthy of entry or not. Saint Peter goes through the book several times and says to the guy, "You know, I can't see that you did lots of good in you life but you never did anything bad either.
Tell you what, if you can tell me of one REALLY good deed that you did in your life, you're in."

The guy thinks for a moment and says, "Well, there was this one time when I was driving down the highway and I saw a BIker Gang assaulting this poor girl. I slowed down my car to see what was going on. Infuriated, I got out of my car, grabbed a tire iron from my trunk and walked straight up to the leader of the gang. He was a huge guy with an earring and sun glasses. As I walked up to the leader, the Gand formed a circle all around me.
So, I ripped the leaders earring off and smashed him over the head with tire iron.

If one holds to the idea that the material universe is all that exists, and that all life is the product of natural and random forces that are at work within the universe, it doesn't seem that you have any basis to believe in the uniformity and order that is a necessary to the concept of memory.

Also note that if you seek to justify your memories independently (i.e. - apart from God), you must rely upon your memory to do so.

Last May, my mom went into the hospital for congestive heart failure. I called my husband to tell him because I was scared and he said that everything would be alright and she would be fine. In June, my husband passed away suddenly and unexpected from heart failure. One of the things that helped me to get through the grief was that God took my husband instead of my mother and that He has a plan and I have to trust this plan. Well, yesterday which would have been the 27th anniversary of our wedding, my mother died. I can't believe this and I am angry with God because He is taking away everybody I leaned on and the only people I leaned on on this earth and now there is no person. How can I lean on God for comfort when He is the one who took them? I did that and now this? I don't want to feel and love because it can be taken away and this is just too painful. My oldest daughter begged me to never leave them and made me promise and I had to and I knew it was a lie but I don't know.

Apparently once someone goes to heaven they will spend the rest of eternity doing nothing more than basking in the glory of God. No more working to better oneself, no more working to better others, just sitting around worshipping God all the time.

What kind of a life (or 'afterlife') is this? Doesn't this strike anyone as being just a bit selfish? Doesn't this seem a bit boring to anyone? I just don't understand why the idea of heaven is so popular. Has anybody given the idea any serious thought?

All feedback is welcome.
