Helping someone to know about Islam?

Question

I have been through that kind of conversation where you have to find many answers regarding what we as Muslims do and why, that was with someone from Spain.

It will be great if anyone can help me with that, I mean if you have something like FAQs using reason and proof in English will be great and enough as well.

The main point is that they think that we are following some rules blindly without even knowing the benefit behind the rules, like for simplicity: we are just hating pork while it will not make us any bad if we started to eat it.

Guide me if you can and thanks in advance.

If you are one of the 40% of Muslims that aren't radicalized then no offense,but all I need to know about Islam a thousand years of written history tells me,and it's mostly bad news. I feel the same way about Christianity so don't let it bother you, I don't understand any religion as I see them all as institutions of slavery where the slaves help make their own chains. And I get the 40% number from polls taken from all over the Islamic world where 60% said they supported people like Osama Bin Laden,in their hearts if not physically.

PS If people don't want to eat something that's fine by me,but I make fun of it because half the people don't even know the history of why certain foods were promoted or forbidden. Pork is no more unhealthy than Beef for example it was just dangerous to eat if not properly prepared 2000 years ago,so many people didn't eat it. Islam and Judaism just put it into law is the only difference,Which just leaves more very healthy pork as a source of protein for all the heathens,so it's cool with me.

The proof of any good religion can be found in the behavior of its followers. It's not what you eat, drink or the clothes you wear that defiles or glorifies you; it's your relationship with one another.
