I'm neither Muslim nor Jewish. I stopped eating pork at age 8, when I overheard someone saying it kiled my father. (His heart gave out when I was seven.) I can count the times I've eaten pork on one hand since. The scent of cooking pork (ham, bacon, whatever) is now repellent to me, and I can't even contemplate putting some in my mouth! I have an ex-Muslim friend who easily uncovered her head, put on jeans, went dancing, etc., but feels the same way about pork. Food preferences just touch something really deep inside a person.
I've read about South American tribes whose members eat bugs and think peanut butter looks and smells like excrement!

I think muslims and jews have the right idea about pork but for the wrong reasons.
pork is an excessively fatty meat that should be banned in an effort to curb the obesity problem.

no, and why would it matter all persons have the right to eat what they wish as long as that's not pushed on other.
The Muslim religion is probably the only one that the followers don't push there beliefs on others, Muslims defiantly don't bother me and I don't bother them.
Also all Muslims I have personally met are nice and honest persons they have great work ethics and family values.
why do people keep on with this pork issue it's just not important.

No, I don't think so. On the other hand I know some Jewish and Muslim people who have no problem at all drinking wine and eating BBQ loin ribs. There are also lot of Christians who don't fast either.
That don't make them bad, only human.

I don't eat Pork for a couple reasons (I used to though when I was Christian). One God tells us it is wrong to eat and the second is Because although it may be tasty, it's marinated feces...Pigs eat their feces and roll in it and there is no doubt in my mind that THAT is Un Hygeniec...
If your own feces tasted good like Pork would you eat it still? Even knowing what it was??THAT IS WHAT PIG IS!!
It's been deemed wrong for many reasons..It even KILLS people...

Because God said not to eat it cause he knows the dangers of eating it.
