Another religious question I'm curious about. So, from what I know (unfortunately vague), some Christians take part in drinking wine and wafers (Jesus' this is my blood, this is my body thing). But cannibalism is bad. So therefore, wouldn't this be cannibalism, therefore Jesus said it? I understand that a lot of transubstantiation is involved, but a friend of mine goes to a church where they honestly believe they are taking part in the body of Christ. So where's the sense in it?

My best girl friend, is bulimic.... How to i go about approaching her and talking about it. She is not fat but she thinks she is. I don't want anything bad to happen to her, I kind of like her. I would do anything if it would make her stop.

I can't go to her family, because her brothers and dad are always calling her, her sister, and her mom fat a**, her mom basically starves herself, and her sister is bulimic too...

Please help, I don't want her to get hurt.... I love her, too much and would feel responsible if something happened. She passed out not too long ago....

Please help!!! I'm begging

Okay, so I'm Jewish, but I'm not religious- I mean, I don't do Shabbat, or pray, and didn't have an official Bat Mitzvah. Need some help- I need to know, seriously, how do you pray...? [I know it's stupid, but please answer it]. Do you have to speak Hebrew, or what? Thanks.

Posing as godly loved ones who have died, saintly clergymen who are now dead, Bible prophets, or even the apostles or disciples of Christ (2 Corinthians 11:13), Satan and his angels will deceive billions. Those who believe the dead are alive, in any form, will most assuredly be deceived.

Yet many people believe in ghost. What do u think?

I think that when people die that they dont go to heaven, hell or anywhere else, their just dead. Ec 9:5 says the dead are not conscience of anything. So, correct me if im wrong.

Intelligent design proponents have used the eye an example of something too complex to develop through evolution, yet the box jellyfish has six eyes that represent several different stages of the evolution of the eye.

Whether they are saying the Earth was created in six days or not, the fact is that they are still saying there was devine intervention somewhere along the way.

A somewhat ridiculous proposition when God dosn't exist.

In Genesis, we learn of the creation of Adam and Eve. We then find that they had two sons...Cain and Abel. Cain kills Abel and is sent away by God. His brother Seth is born. Cain finds a city and people...takes a wife and raises a family.

There are two main thoughts on where these other people came from. Many would say that they were other brothers and sisters that the Bible did not mention. The order of the narrative is somewhat iffy regarding that, though, as once Cain killed Abel, God came to him and sent him away, and Cain headed east to Nod where he found a wife and started a family. Then, Eve was sad so her and Adam got busy and she gave birth to Seth. If she had other children, she would most likely not have replied that God has given her another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him. The other thought is that Adam and Eve were the first humans that God created, but that God created other humans later on, in other areas, which would include the people in Nod,

One of the first thruths about God a person must confront is the reality of Jesus' identity. Throughout history, people have held a variety of different views about who Jesus was. Some say He was a teacher from God. Others have said He was a prophet, a wise leader, or an example of goodness for mankind to follow. But in John's account of Jesus' life, Jesus presents a truth about Himself that has provided a defining moment for people for 2000 years. When you encounter this truth there is no middle ground. Either you embrace what Jesus said about Himself, or you pursue a distortion that accomodates your existing beliefs.

I am a devout Christian, however it is hard for me to put any being on par with the Father (Spirit of God). Could anyone please point out to me bibilical evidence that supports the trinity?

If you do not believe in God, that's great, however I don't really want that in this question. If you post about being an atheist or agnostic, I will just report your post, as that has nothing to do with my question.

In my last question about understanding the Bible, many people told me that you have to already believe or be mature in your faith to understand it, or at least many parts of it.

If this is true:
1. Why would you use Bible verses to witness to people when they probably wouldn't understand the meaning at that point in their faith (needing a witness)?

2. What is the point of the Bible really? It certainly wouldn't convert people if you have to already believe to get it. Why would someone reading about as many religions as they can (in their seach for truth) choose a Biblical religon when they could choose a religion that had a book anyone could understand?

(If you want to know where I'm coming from I think being a Christian is as good as any other religion and I respect you. I just don't think a book is necessary to communicate with God and this kind of stuff seems to support my belief)
