The New Testament contradicts itself regarding this occurrence.

According to the Gospel of Matthew, [Matthew 27:5]"So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself." This indicates that he returned the money to the temple and then committed suicide.

However, according to Luke in Acts 1:18, "With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out." This implies a more guiltless Judas.

Often, I have heard it argued that this is not a contradiction - just two different accounts of how he died....he was hanged, and then fell from the rope and burst asunder. Ok, lets run with that....

How then, exactly, does one NOT see the glaring contradiction as to what Judas did with the money he received for betraying Jesus? This is a clear contradiction. Either he gave the money back, or he used it for a field.

How do you justify THAT contradiction?

The truth is...blasphemy is victimless crime.

God probably doesnt exist, and the religious conception of a "personal God" definetly doesnt exist. However, lets suppose some form of "God" does exist. How can this entity ever be offended or hurt with the words of his creation? Its absurd when you really think about it, yet Muslims have murdered millions based on this premise alone, and the other religions dont have clean hands either.

Since the idea that an omnipotent creator could haveth his feelings hurt, as if he had a human ego, is beyond absurdity, it must be the case that the concept of "blasphemy", it must be that the concept was invented by religuous clergy seeking to retain their powers.

Isnt that human nature? Power corrupts and those in power are often inclined to do whatever is necessary to retain their powers. Obviously, those who question the source of their (the clergy, mullahs, etc) power are the biggest threat and should get the biggest punishment.

It's the ultimate defining moment. The one we are all aware of but all avoid: One day our life on this earth will end.
Time is running out.
We don't know how much time is left. But we know it won't last forever. It's an undeniable fact. And like all defining moments there is a lot we can't explain about death. But based on the undeniable facts, there are some very important conclusions we can draw that will impact us not only for the rest of this life, but also the life to come. The fact that our time is running out, is something we tend to put out of our minds. And yet it is one of the most important truths to remember.
2. Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad."

Have you accepted them as your personal GODS and SAVIOURS?
Whatever you want to call him, just know that he is a jealous and bloodthirsty(but later became loving) God who sent his son Jesus Christ and brother Holy Birdie Chirpie to give us salvation. By accepting Jesus as our God and Saviour(and also his step-brother Holy Birdie) we will have eternal life. Real question is have you accepted Jesus and His Uncle and His Father The JEALOUS OLDIE as your personal God and saviour?
