Theses days I'm focusing a lot on The Great Apostasy which will precede the Rapture, and also on the love that Paul speaks of in 1st Corinthians 13. What about you?

I've prayed and I prayed, but God wont let me fire lasers from my armpits. God must not love me.

Matthew 19:28
Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

(I've been reading youtube Nick Gisburne's latest book "The Atheists Are Revolting" and he made a valid point I want to bring up.)

Christians:
Your argument is that the world is too vast and complex that it must have been created. But surely, then, one god isn't enough, right? Perhaps there are 2 gods; 50 gods; a thousand gods.

Your analogy is comparing the universe to a watch and God to the watch maker.

But watches have more than one creator: One for the glass for the face (heats sand and then moulds it); one for the copper and zinc ores digged up (and then melting them down and mixing them to make brass); one for the batteries if it's a modern battery (using leather from a cow and making the appropriate technology for batteries); one for the tools used for making the watch (e.g., tweezers, magnifying glass)... and so on.

A watch has several watch makers.

So surely the universe, the Earth, the animals, etc. need a huge team of designers and manufacturers to build them, right?

What do you think of this statement:

"Most Christians believe in evolution (to some extent), but are afraid of punishment if they were to explore or express their feelings as such."

I'm sure some do not accept any form of evolutionary theory, but you can't ignore the fact that species change over time. Even people are taller, live longer, etc. than they did 1000 years ago. Imagine 3 000 000 years!

Anyway, I just think many are afraid of what God would do if they investigated his greatness on allowing his creatures to adapt to the world around them.

Discuss.

People are like lambs to the slaughter house. They get into these cults never even looking into their long histories of false
prophecy. For example 1914, 1915, 1918, 1925, 1941, 1975
and even 1994. All of these are years in which this group said
that Jesus would come. Why are people so dense?
There is so much more. Please look at youtube and watch some of the videos.

There are at least 4 major Christian denominations and about 20,000 sub-denominations and small groups. Each one is claiming to have the correct doctrinal interpretation of Scripture. Small wonder people say we do not practice what we preach. We debate, argue, fight even kill each other because of doctrinal issues.

Jesus prayed for all of us before he was arrested. He said, "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for the ones you have given me, because they are yours,
and everything of mine is yours and everything of yours is mine, and I have been glorified in them. And now I will no longer be in the world, but they are in the world, while I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name that you have given me, so that they may be one just as we are." - John 17,9-11

Comments and suggestions, please.

2 Timothy 2:22-24

22Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

23Don't have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels.

24And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; instead, he must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful

it all adds up to a religion founded on making money and control, not of believing in god.

a) you cannot question your faith. (typically).its dis-encouraged.

b) give money to the church / "give cesear what is cesear's"

c) the threat of hell and the reward of heaven in exchange for mindless obedience.

d) atheists go to hell. automatically. (atheists dont give money to churches, do they?)

e) the inconsistancies and contradictions with modern science in the bible spell out "the words of men, not god"

f) rich televangilists

g) a loving caring god would not show such discrimination against homosexuals like the biblical one does, only bronze age homophobic men would.

you guys agree or disagree and why? feel free to expand.

The question Jesus asked himself.

Matthew 16:26. "For what doth it profit a man, if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his own soul? Or what exchange shall a man give for his soul?"

"Quid enim prodest homini si mundum universum lucretur animae vero suae detrimentum patiatur aut quam dabit homo commutationem pro anima sua"

I agree with many Protestant ideals and I reject the authority of the Pope. I was never baptized when I was a baby for some reason, although my parents were religious, but stopped going to church when me and my brother were born. My family was originally from Northern Ireland and were Irish Protestants.
