I agree with many Protestant ideals and I reject the authority of the Pope. I was never baptized when I was a baby for some reason, although my parents were religious, but stopped going to church when me and my brother were born. My family was originally from Northern Ireland and were Irish Protestants.

I have never been to church in my life, but I have been to some religious classes when I was young.

it depends on the Church or denomination you go to, some do not believe that you can go to heaven if you are not baptized, others (and this is the majority) feel that it is up to you to decide.

what do you mean you agree with many Protestant ideals?
There are many different denominations of Protestants with widely varying ideals. Which denomination do you agree with?
In any case you would have to be baptized if you never were, but if you ever were baptized Christian (Catholic or any Protestant faith) you would not be baptized again just welcomed.
The people above that are saying you do not have to be baptized in a Protestant denomination are incorrect, the only ones that call themselves Christians that don;t have a Triune baptism are non denominational evengelicals who are not part of the Council of Churches or the Council of Reformed Churches.
Also to say a Methodist and a Baptist have very few differences in theological thought is completely in accurate.

Baptism (AFAIK) is just a dedication to God. It matters not if you are or aren't. This does not stop you believing in whatever you wish to - ie God exists; God doesn't exist.
As long as you aren't Catholic (they have very strange rules) I doubt any church would insist on you being baptised. Adult baptism is a thing you choose to do if you believe it will be of some intrinsic benefit to you. Again it is just dedicating yourself to God and acknowledging him.
There are a lot of Protestant churches that make a big thing of it but it isn't compulsory. Just don't get brainwashed by the Mormons and JWs.
If you want to know more then I suggest you talk to the Pastors of a few different churches and maybe try their brand of God and see if it's your thing.
The Bible says you do not have to go to church to be a good person or to pray to God.

No, you certainly don't have to, but to be baptized as an adult is one of the most meaningful and moving rituals you can take part in. I encourage you to do so at some point, because it feels great and solidifies your commitment to Christian ideals. I wasn't baptized until my late thirties, and I was very surprised by my own reaction....I couldn't stop crying (happy tears :)

Jews and Muslims also reject the authority of the Pope; does that make them Protestants?

No one should be baptized as a baby. Baptism is a symbol of our understanding of what Jesus did for us. It is a symbol of his death, burial and resurrection. No one should be baptized unless they are capable of understanding this concept.
Also, it doesn't matter what religion you are, all should be baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Hope this helps!

First find a church you want to go to and then ask the rector. Most of the time they want you to get baptised toshow you are part of the church. It doesn't matter that you are older - happens all the time

You don't HAVE to be baptized but the Bible says that the first thing that you should do when you become a Christian is to get baptized.

To baptize is not a must.
But you can do it to show your faith.
You do it because you are following God, not a church.
God Bless.
