I watched a special on Heaven's Gate, those people were so brainwashed.

You will know if it is God when it lines up with scripture---some are deceived who do not walk in the truth....if you are walking in the truth and abiding in God's word, He does speak to you---through HIS word and that still small voice that is the Holy Spirit. BUT if what you are saying is God, is contrary to His word, it is not God. That is why many "cults" are crazy, because they are deceived, and they think it is God when it is not.

Usually when someone tells you they've heard from God you can tell by the way they live their lives and the way things work out.
Personally I'm getting tired of the whole "brainwashing" thing. We choose to walk with God. Everyone I know is encouraged to look into what they are told and check it out. You on the other had seem to think if someone tells you something it's right and you just repeat it like good little puppets. Who's brainwashed?

I watched the same special and it's crazy. That's why you shouldn't believe people who say they are or talk to god- bunch of nutcases and if they tell you to cut of your goodies then you should really know you're in trouble

The minute anyone says they are or have been "in contact" with God, I write them off as a nut case.

Really have you ever experienced speaking to the Lord...I didn't think so...I am not brainwashed...I do speak with Jesus and He speaks in many forms....

Because people so desperately to believe that this world is not the best they get...so they waste the only life they have chasing goofy religious beliefs.
