Odd that I had to hear this first on Yahoo Answers and not all over the media as is usually the case when he says something controversial....

The "old Jesus" is in Heaven with God. Jesus hasn't gone out of style. Pat Robertson has no idea what he is talking about saying Jesus is going out of style of saying he is the new Jesus because he isn't the new Jesus.

Pat Robertson is feeling pretty full of himself to declare himself "God." Sounds like Pat Robertson is about to go out of style.

Just googled Mr Robertson, of whom I had not heard before. I offer this description of him by someone far more qualified than I to comment ...

"An Insane Madman With Bizarre, Dangerous Delusions."

Didn't find the 'I am the New Jesus' quote anywhere - yet.

Pat Robinson is a pompous ***...If he was really full of the holy sprit instead of his own ego, blastemy like that would never, enter his brain, let alone emit from his lips. This just ANOTHER in a LONG string of attention getting statements designed to milk more money out of his igorant flock. And sadly - he'l get it from them...

Well, I wouldn't put it past him - but I hope that this is a misunderstanding.

Did he mean that he is what a follower of Jesus should be - not like people now-a-days who just do lip service?

Hopefully what he met was that people should follow what Jesus actually did and said to do. The trend of Christianity lately is to just say and not do.

I find it much easier to believe that Pat Robertson declared himself God,

than it is to believe in God.

Two things to bear in mind: The 700 Club and Pat Robertson.

Now, can we verify anything?
