Why can't spirits stay with us on earth..because some do!
I started to think about this..and decided that it was really worth asking about....If spirits(ghosts who have been to the light,) come back to earth to visit...why can't ghosts stay, if they desired that? Why do we humans that are still alive, push or make them GO to the light?
I think that they have a right to still be with us...it they really have a need to!

ANybody?

When it rains the water gets evaporated and turns into a cloud. It's just that in order for every inch of land on earth to be flooded, which would include, presumably, the summit of mount everest, which is seven miles high, that would take a hell of a lot of water. Now for all that to evaporate into a cloud.... That cloud would take up all of the earth's atmosphere.

And concerning the rain in the first place, WHERE DID IT COME FROM?!!?!? The water cycle — technically known as the hydrologic cycle or hydrological cycle — is the continuous circulation of water within the Earth's hydrosphere, and is driven by solar radiation. This includes the atmosphere, land, surface water and groundwater. By the physical processes of evaporation, precipitation, infiltration, runoff, and subsurface flow.

And how did Noah gather animals from places like America and Australia? And Antartica??? And SIberia???? Or how could they have come to him?

"Thus says the Lord: 'I will bring evil upon you out of your own house. I will take your wives (plural) while you live to see it, and will give them to your neighbor. He shall lie with your wives in broad daylight. You have done this deed in secret, but I will bring it about in the presence of all Israel, and with the sun looking down.'"
Then David said to Nathan, "I have sinned against the Lord." Nathan answered David: "The Lord on his part has forgiven your sin: you shall not die. But since you have utterly spurned the Lord by this deed, the child born to you must surely die." (The child dies seven days later.) 2 Samuel 12:11-14 NAB

"The glory of Israel will fly away like a bird, for your children will die at birth or perish in the womb or never even be conceived. Even if your children do survive to grow up, I will take them from you. It will be a terrible day when I turn away and leave you alone. I have watched Israel become as beautiful and pleasant as Tyre. But now Israel will bring out her children to be slaughtered." O LORD, what should I request for your people? I will ask for wombs that don't give birth and breasts that give no milk. The LORD says, "All their wickedness began at Gilgal; there I began to hate them. I will drive them from my land because of their evil actions. I will love them no more because all their leaders are rebels. The people of Israel are stricken. Their roots are dried up; they will bear no more fruit. And if they give birth, I will slaughter their beloved children." (Hosea 9:11-16 NLT)

Doesn't that approach to religion set you up so as to constantly compare others and their beliefs to yourself and your beliefs, then evaluate them in light of yours? Couldn't you intentionally choose to reserve judgement and go through life more happy-go-lucky or does that scare you for some reason?

I find I could not. So many things about religious bother me as a whole. Like the irrational, uncontrolled state of mind Christians have at times (as seen in above link) and

also things like the religious person putting a mystical figure who is yet to be proven as real and long deceased religious figures in front of me, their friends, families and loved ones.

How do my fellow atheists feel about this?

There is one thing thatI find strange about Christians(Not Christianity)They always said that Muslim worshipped a moon god,Muhammad is a false prophet and so on so on.........

But when they become Missionaries, they told the Muslims that they worshipped the same god, they told them to follow the Bible and they told them that Christianity is from Allah?

I feel that over time Christians have changed the meaning of scripture in order to suit our needs and wants instead of being ok with what God wants for us.. how do we know its not a million times better then what we could imagine. For example, I struggle with being alone since my hubby walked out in September of 2004. I have pushed myself forward but have to admit its hard. I could easily change verses such as "marital unfaithfulness" and have that be my out, but truth is, he never physically cheated that I know of. heck, if that was the case, I think that most women and men could be called adulterers. SHEESH! So, do you think we have changed the Bible to fit our needs? Do you think that we use it as a buffet table to fit our comfort level?
Let me know! I esspecially want to hear from other Christians on this subject. Thanks!

It is written in the Bible that Jesus said, "Jesus replied 'I tell you the solemn truth, unless a person is born from above, he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" That born from above is also translated as "born again". If he was not, is he above the law so to speak? If the answer is yes to this, is such the teaching that Jesus told others what to do but did not do it himself?

If the answer is that Jesus was "born again" or from above, when and how did it happen? Where is it recorded in the Bible?

Do you ever wake up, walk to the bathroom and you suddenly feel a sense of horrible 'staleness' and 'dread' about being here? It accumulates as you live your life, and then all at once, it just hits you.. a real slow-building thing. It's like 'oh man, am I still -here-? this tired-out old place? (and I'm not talking about your house) Does this place really exist? Another day, month, year, lifetime to go? Can it even end if you kill yourself, or will you be recycled back into another life, according to reincarnationists? Will you wake up in Hell, according to christians? Where -is- this place? We're all so trapped..

If the Rapture DID happen, and masses of people disappeared, what would be your reaction? (Please, no answers saying it couldnt happen. This is just a "what if" question. I already know you dont believe it). So, for real, what do you THINK your reaction would be?.(Muslims and/or other religions may answer if they wish).
