Do you ever wake up, walk to the bathroom and you suddenly feel a sense of horrible 'staleness' and 'dread' about being here? It accumulates as you live your life, and then all at once, it just hits you.. a real slow-building thing. It's like 'oh man, am I still -here-? this tired-out old place? (and I'm not talking about your house) Does this place really exist? Another day, month, year, lifetime to go? Can it even end if you kill yourself, or will you be recycled back into another life, according to reincarnationists? Will you wake up in Hell, according to christians? Where -is- this place? We're all so trapped..

I've felt sick of my life and sick of myself, but haven't actually felt sick of living.

No, I do not. May I suggest for you to get some help from a professional, because it looks like you are suffering from depression.
