I believe the earth is about 6,000 years old. There is scientific evidence to back this up.

If you are a Christian, how old do you think the world is?

Did you know that scientists use carbon dating for rocks? Carbon dating is unreliable. I found this out from a creationist website. It was a very reliable and good site and even though I don't have the link, there is scientific evidence that supports Christianity and the fact that all human genomes go back to only 4,000 B.C.

It is possible that in the six days it was created really meant one thousand years, but even then it still supports a young earth.

Dinosaurs lived with humans. Fossils of footprints have been found in Texas. Scientists have hidden this information because they have an agenda.

So, if you're a Christian, how old is the earth?

Is it my fault they don't want me joining their church or are they the ones who are crazy and not me?

I see that many people who are considered "top contributors" have a lot less points and are in a lower level than myself. So how do they determine who is considered a top contributor?

Between Adam and Jesus, that is a lot of humans who lived and died ignorant of the will of god.

If you created a universe with a planet with intelligent life that you had a plan for wouldn't you give them the manual from, say, day 1? Instead of millennia later?

What are the socioeconomic political implications of that in case the car runs into a school bus full of atheist kids at that time? Actually what everyone want to know if the kids will need their fire retardant swim trunks that day.

A very religious man lived right next door to an atheist. The religious man prayed every single day and night, spending much time at church, while the atheist never even thought of such acts.
However, the atheist's had a good life. An excellent, well-payed job, and a beautiful wife, lovely, healthy, children, whereas the religious man's job was stressful and his wages were low, his wife was getting fatter every day ,and his kids were obnoxious, and non loving.

So one day, while deep into his regular prayer, he looked towards heaven and asked, "Oh God, I honour you every day, I ask your advice for every problem and confess to you my every sin. Yet my neighbour, who doesn't even believe in you and certainly never prays, seems blessed with every happiness, while I go poor and suffer many an indignity. Why is this?"

A great voice bellowed out from above, "BECAUSE HE DOESN'T BOTHER ME ALL THE TIME!"

God will get them in the end, but it is so frustrating in the meantime, because they simply refuse to see the error of their ways. What are your thoughts on this?

Okay so i put that title to fool you sorry, but people who say religion is inside me! and i am jesus's friend and i speak to jesus theres only one explanation, mass schizophrenia! people that are normal non-believers who walk down the street if they were to say a man that died 2007 years ago is inside or speaking to them or is a friend in the sky would be taken to a mental asylum as a schizophrenic, why arent the religious! because theres not enough spaces!

Sounds like it has. Atheism is not a religion nor spiritual. It is no belief. Paganism is not a religion according to Webster. I never mentioned spiritualism in my last question. I never said why this is not a Christian section. I asked why is it so (and I will add) 'vehemently' anti-Christian by many.
The best answer I got was many of you would be terribly bored talking amongst yourselves.
By the way, I don't belong to a church but thought this might be an interesting place for ALL religions to give their thoughts. Looks like a lot of Christian bashing to me. The answers are revealing.

Now that we have all seen Borat, (in wide-screen format), being saved at an evangelical church by a real preacher are we ready to believe that anyone can be saved?

Your comments please.

Does God require an apology to forgive us? What then can we make of the verse "Turn the other cheek..." How could God suggest forgiveness without repentence to us, if He was incapable of such a notion Himself. Wouldn't ultimate grace include forgiving others without being dependent upon them to change their ways? Wouldn't ultimate forgiveness proclaim the ever so truthful "Love your enemies?" Loving our enemies would have to include forgiving them whether or not they seek forgiveness, wouldn't it?

I've been having a lot of thoughts, and a lot of specifications about who I should be. I've been pointing out a lot of imperfections with who I am. I blamed God for this. I got into an argument with a close friend and lost my temper, I basically entered a physical and emotional rage. I started to blame God for my faults and everything I have become. I'm just counting down the years till I can join the military because I have determination that school sucks. Because of this I further demean myself. IE "I am too talkative in class, I am rejected from my piers." I blamed God for all of this. And because of that I have not prayed for quite some time. Prior to these last few days, I had been constantly praying and was very religious. When I blamed god, I did the exact opposite of this. I feel like all my imperfections need to be changed. I need to stay quiet, do well in school before I join the military. So can you help me fix this things? I need to go to Heaven, and make my mom proud...

On all kinds of important information?

Wouldn't a god want ALL his followers to have his whole message from the get-go? Some guy told me on another question that it took 1600 years to write the bible. I don't know if that is fact but that is one heck of a lot of christians who missed out.
