I would say find another church to join. They ARE the crazy ones, you aren't.

You are talking about the Mormons (LDS), right? They are the only ones, that I know of , that think you can baptize the dead. I second, Blondie, don't get involved with their church. There are many, many doctrines of theirs that's not Biblical

You mean literally? If so, I would not. Dead is dead and is too late. If they are into the dead, they are not true followers of Christ. Jesus is The God of The Living, not the dead. Go and find you a good evangelical church and they will bless you. PEACE!!!

Dead people can't be baptized, unless you're mormon, and that is false doctrine. If you are saved, then a church's pastor should baptize you. Baptism is a symbol of your faith in Jesus, it in itself won't save you from Hell. Only trusting in Jesus will.

Do not get involved with the Mormons. They are generally very good people, but doctrinally, they do not represent the truth.
