Well, you know, any good cajun recipe always starts with "first, you make a roux".

Oh, sorry, birdfeet...now, back to YOUR question.

Step 1: preheat oven to 400 degrees.

What? Oh, dang. Ok, ok. I thought you were asking questions about baking a cake.

Anyway, nice question and good to see ya.

Commence baking immediately. Cool for two hours. Run outdoors and throw the cake into the air. When it falls back onto your face, know that gravity brought it down but it's soul has ascended. Because it was prophesied to happen this way. Jesus is metaphorically eating your cake (and mine too), but since you get the literal cake itself, pick your favorite! Poor Jesus is probably obese from all those cakes. And the light must be blinding! Scream out "Happy Birthday, Jesus!! Let them eat cake!!"

I would say start the day before He is to arrive, so the cake has time to cool before you have to put the icing on. Definately go with white, that will match his clothes, and won't stain if any crumbs fall. I know that there is very large banquet scheduled that day, and my invitation didn't say anything about it being a potluck, I was under the impression that everything would be provided by the host.

Jesus Himself said this: " But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only." Matthew 24:36.

Make a cake for yourself or your friends and family instead.

I'd buy a mix, just in case he takes a while, then you can mix it up in no time and have coffee with him while it's baking! I think Jesus would like chocolate...seems like he needs a little sin now adn then.
