i am a catholic

i have been praying for a new bike for many months and a few days ago i got tired of it

instead i stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.

does god think that this is ok because i am praying for forgiveness or am i going to hell?

I know there are parts of scripture in the Holy Bible which suggest that animals do not have souls. But do you ever wonder about this? Our pets can have such personality, such strong emotional responses. We know when they are mad, sad, and joyfull. They are sentient beings. Why should they not have the same spiritual esscence as humans supposedly do?

In the time that the Old Testament was written, animals had a different place among humans. They were most often beasts of burden, food, or something to be feared. There were laws about what you can and cannot eat because of health considerations - not because God favoured one animal over another.

There is a part of scripture in the Old Testament that an article of clothing should come from one type of fabric - no blends. Few would argue that this directive has any force or meaning today or at anytime.

I believe that all humans have an eternal soul. I often wonder is animals have the same.

What do you think? And why

I'm looking for some inspiration before I create a new jounal.

Here's a description of mine
I've made my latest BoS by taking the cover (A4) off of a yearly planer, i removed the paper and added some art paper I bought seperatly. It looks like a leather bound book from the outside and when opened lays completely flat and I can move the pages around as its spiral bound. It also has some thin (fake) leather straps I added to tie it shut.

If your willing to share what your BoS looks like thats Great!
Any ideas are welcome also.

Am I incorrect in assuming that places like Toys R Us and KB Toys, both of which sell Ouija boards, wouldn't sell a product that poses a great danger to the user?

Am I also incorrect in assuming that the "dangers" of Ouija boards have never been conclusively proven, because if they had been, two TOY STORES wouldn't be selling them? If I'm right on this, then why haven't these dangers been proven? (Keep in mind that this product has been sold for over a hundred years.)

I think the story about Adam and Eve is stupid and nonsense. If Adam & Eve was the 1st man and woman on earth and god created them then their the only 2 human beings god made and they reproduced everybody else. So does that means Adam & Eva had hot sex and gave birth to brothers and sisters who had sexual intercourse with each other due to there were no other human beings around? so that means all brothers, sister, cousins, auncle and anti slept with each other to reproduce. And another thing, how can a white man and a white woman to start with ended up with black, yellow, red, asian, european, african and american people?

I notice a few patterns, one, primarily everyone who answered was liberal, there were a few conservatives. I think that has to do with conservatives are off in the politics section with their little mantra of liberals are bad,

the other pattern, is that atheists and pagans are primarily evolutionists, and with christians and jews it seems to be about half and half,

so what is it about that half of the judeo-christian religion that seems to be still in 2007 creationist?

Were Pagans evolutionists before Charles Darwin? Obviously not, so what is it about that group of religions that made Evolution something that they accept?

I have heard this comment from non- Christians many times. For example, we have different interpretations on salvation, eschatology, Christ's divinity, etc., etc. If we cannot agree on the correct interpretation of Scripture can we at least stop bashing each other? Haven't we forgotten the 30 years war between Catholics and Protestants, which claimed more lives than the holocaust? It looks like this war is being fought again right here on Yahoo Answers. Does God approve of this war of words? How can we have "peace on earth" when we are not peaceful ourselves?

I want a rational answer to this, and not some new-agey doubletalk: is astral projection real? Because if it is, why don't people with this ability spy on other people? I've heard people talk about going to different planes, as well. So, where do people go when they astral project- planet earth, or some other dimension? How does this relate to lucid dreaming? I too believe/want to believe in Jesus. But my faith is not unshakeable or rigid. So at times it falters and i might get swayed to the non-beleiver side. It's like a flip-flop thing. During such times when i go into non-beleiving mode i have committed sins such as blasphemy or more simply spreading some wrong information about Lord Jesus. They say blasphemy is unpardonable. Will Jesus forgive me for the same. Will he reinstill unwavering faith in me. Can you guys suggest how i can makeup for my misdeeds and will you guys pray if you kindly can for my forgival. Thanks.

Is it true that you believe that that nothing was in existence until 6,000 years ago (Supernovas and Triceratops alike) and that we all come from Adam and Eve, who had children who would then mate with each other and produce more children, which would lead to a population which God would destroy in a flood 4,500 years ago, of which the one surviving family would mate with each other and produce the rest of humanity, including us?

2. What city is it in?
3. What textbook did you use?
4. What did the teacher say about evolution?
(Assuming you took a biology class, of course--if not, don't bother to answer.)
5. Why don't you believe the evidence?
6. What is wrong about evolution according to your pastor?
7. Have you asked him?
8. What church do you belong to?
9. What do your parents say?
10. If you don't believe in science, how were cars invented, and TVs, and airplanes, and electricity, and the Internet? How can you justify using the Internet and airplanes and watching TV and not believe in the science that created those things?

For instance the Christian god wants to see the most severe punishment and even for minor things. Worship seems so silly and primitive. Why would intelligent beings go to a place were they are commanded to kneel and stand and bow and scrape to some entity that is supposed to be benevolent? Believing that this being requires complete love and adoration, individuals are told that they will be shunned from any sort of heaven or nirvana if the don't dote over this entity. When do religious people wake up and evolve beyond the stone age? You would be put in prison for child abuse if you treated your child the way the imagined Christian Judeo god treats his children. My children are far more respectful, loving, peaceful and well behaved than most religious people we know... why is that? All the religious families we know seem to have very serious behavioral problems with their children???
