OMFG!!! LOL!!! Are you for real? Well I guess it's as they say God helps those who helps themselves. LMAO If you paid attention to eery sin you made you're probably going to hell anyway (srry about that). But if you really do believe in god( I have my serious face now), he'll forgive you, especially if you return the bike.

Hello Philosophizer.
In order to be forgiven, we must first repent of our sins.
Have you returned the bike?
God does not think sin is ok just because we pray after we do it. We must first be committed to stop sinning.
Did you plan on praying for forgiveness before you stole the bike? Was the prayer part of your plan?
If it was then the prayer is not genuine and and not from a repentant heart.
It's not up to me our anyone here to say if your going to hell or not, but it's up to you to ask yourself if this kind of act is in keeping with God's commandments.
If you want to do the right thing, then I know God will enable you.

i thikn that you should return the bike...

its NOT ok to steal....
says this in the 10 commandments aswell
"Though shalt not steal"

if you save up for the bike, it is much better
imagine how the person feels, knowing that thier bike has been stolen!

perhaps they had been working really hard and praying, and FINALLY, they got thier bike...then suddenly, it's gone! Imagine if that was you!

I'm glad that you said sorry to God, but i really think that you should return the bike or get the owner a new one!

Some people give away thier bikes or sell them cheaply, try looking in the newspapers or asking around

i don't think that people go to hell that easily, but God did say that we have to repent, and that also means making up to the person that we sinned against. 'sorry' means that we will try very VERY hard not to do it again

i know that sometimes, its really REALLY hard to wait for something, and you pray and pray, and wait and wait.....

but we shouldn't steal....is not really fair

I'm not God, so I don't know exactly what He would say, but I think that you should give the bike back

God bless......

DONT LISTEN TO MAXIMUS!

It's not ok. You basically overrode Gods decision. He has a very good reason for you to have waited for a bike. You thought otherwise. You have been given free will. You took advantage of it. But God is a forgiving God, and I know that some religions don't feel that way, but I do. And I know that he will forgive you. Its just that whatever the reason you were supposed to wait, you will learn in another way, but probably more so.

You can do anything you want and God will forgive you...that accounts for the low morality of religious people. You can rob banks, rape, murder and lie and it will all be quite alright.

Now if you were an atheist, you'd have a problem and must be much more moral because God doesn't forgive atheists. Atheists live by a much stricter code of ethics and must work harder to get what we want as God never gives us anything we don't work hard for.

Thus...atheists have better work ethics and higher morality due to the fact that God won't answer our prayers or forgive us.

You're a christian, you can do whatever you like and reason your way out of it...its why I have low respect for religious people.

I would say so. G-d gives things to his children when ever he belives that they should recieve it. By taking the matter into your hands, you have looked for a more short term response to your want. Like a father, G-d wants you to appreciate what he gives you. God will be diappointed in what you have done, and he may infact want you to return the bike to the place you got it from and accept the consicuances. I would ask for forgiveness and pray for him to give you guidance when you return the bike.
God bless you and in what ever you decide to do.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

Instead of praying and asking for material things, and stealing and asking forgiveness when you don't really mean it...why don't you do the right thing and work for the money to buy a bike? Why don't you talk to your priest about it?

God always forgives. As long as you forgive others. But it doesn't mean that stealing a bike was right. God sometimes doesn't answer your prayers right away. Sometimes it takes awhile. And thats where we learn patience.

Who do you pray to? Not to Virgin Mary I hope.

But best thing, I believe you should do is to repent and return the bike to its owner thus getting rid of guilt. You won't die without a bike.

what about the kid that the bike belonged to?
:Maybe he had prayed for a bike than got a paper route and earned the money to buy it.
