I know I am truly saved because when I finally gave my life over to Christ, I was changed. I don't mean I decided to change, I mean I was changed inside. The Holy Spirit came to dwell with me just as Christ had promised and his presence has brought life in abundance also as he promised. It made all the difference when I went from simply hoping that Christ was real to accepting Him as my personal leader in my life. It was then that the Holy Spirit came to me and made me KNOW that Christ and God are real. I have experienced dozens of interventions on my behalf since that time and I would not trade what I have for anything. Why should I....I have it all.

The man is not fictional as the first answer implies.Contrary to what many people believe there is as much evidence to supprt his existence as there is to say other wise. Many historians that there was no census that went out to all the world but they miss one important point It would have almost certainly been a census of the jewish world.ONE PROVINCE.If you look at the words spoken in the new testament by Christ and compile them alone. You will see a continous thread through them that indicates they came from one person. It is the philosophy that has to be studied while the events are important the ideas stand alone.
I dont know that I have been saved I cannot judge that

When I was about 16 your question kept bugging me: How do you know if you're truly saved? I felt I wasn't good enough to be saved. I'll never forget the feeling of peace and absolute certainty I experienced once I realized it wasn't something you do, but that God did it for you in Jesus. Despite a few hiccups it's still with me every day, 34 years on!

Not enough and still searching and learning and I don't assume I'm saved either.
In my opinion, one main quality Jesus had and tried to teach us, stands out beyond all others, something all we humans find extremely hard if not impossible, something which, especially today in our times, is hardest to achieve: forgiveness and love for our enemies, no matter what and in all circumstances.
If this can be truely achieved, then perhaps we have a chance.

I am aware of your Christ. I attended a Church of England school for many years. I have read and studied your Bible.

I don't know what you mean by 'saved' since I don't believe I am in jeopardy.

I am as happy, kind, helpful and loving as I can be. I believe we should 'Be Excellent to Each Other'. That'll have to do I'm afraid.

Thank you for asking. I don't know if it was a good answer, but hopefully, it's an answer.

As long as you believe that Christ died for your sins and faithful to his word then your saved. Im still a baby in Christ but I know for a fact that Im saved because of the process of becoming a Christian. First, I acknowledge Him as the Son of the Holy Spirit. Then I began to seek His word as I got older and developed an understanding of Him. Now Im continuing that process of getting to know of Christ through prayer, attending church and developing a relationship with the Father. Even though I sin through this process, Im still saved because I confessed that I believed in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit and that Jesus Christ died for my sins and continue my walk (faith) in Christ. We are all babies in Christ so there are no little I's or U's when it comes to being truly saved.

I have learned enough to respect the gentle Rebbe and write his name wit a capital, Jesus. However, christ/Christos is a title "the anointed," and that is all. It is neither the last name of Jesus or the naming of a messiah.

I was saved much earlier in life and then began to question that later on because of some poor choices on my part. Once you're saved, you're saved. Jesus came to SAVE the world, not to judge it. If you're struggling with a similar situation then talk to God. Ask for forgiveness and do your best to follow what you know in your heart is God's will. We are ALL born of a sinful nature. God knows that we're going to mess up. That's why he sent Jesus.

"I pondered the direction of my life, and I turned to follow your statutes." Psalm 119:59

Long story short, do God's will. Jesus says love God and love your neighbor. Psamls says be still and know that I am God." Make a serious effort to know God and to love him (that counts for all the major religions Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, ect. It's all different roads to the same place.), and everything else falls into place.

By know God that means spend a lot of time praying and meditating. All religions have that in common.

Quite a bit since I have been a minister, missionary, and am in Bible college. I know I am saved because the Holy Spirit bears witness to Christ.
