OK, the thought of floating around bored for like 6 billion years scares the living crap out of me as well. But given that it isn't like we have a Time-Life guide to the afterlife, what would you do if someone proved that the existence of God was fake? Would you still live a moral life knowing full well that it didn't make one bit of difference or would you instead try to fulfill all the pleasures of the flesh in say the length of time in takes to play a major league baseball game?

At all the Christianity 'baiting and bashing carnivals' we find men in colourful so-called holy robes sharing the podium with faith traders who fleece the knaves and gullible of their money on several guises to build up huge personal assets. Jesus Christ drove away the moneychangers from the church and to me His accredited followers go on adulterating the basic concepts of Christianity by gifting credibility to the faith merchants who are hell-bent on amassing wealth. Should not we all join together and fight this evil trend?

Why do many people choose to believe the Bible as infallible instead with its many discrepancies (many accounts do not agree with each other at all and Biblical scholars and scientists agree that certain things listed are impossible) while saying "the Romans/Egyptians just forgot to write that down or they lost it somewhere" when something does agree with history as we know it? It was never written down because it never happened.

Notice how its says the word "IF" quite a lot. IF you obey....you get all these blessings.

SO why do people who don't obey G-d whine about how evil G-d is???

How can this veil of misunderstanding best be removed in your opinion?

This was a real revelation scripture for me. Notice too there are more curses possible (listed before and after) than blessings.

Thanks and Shalom,
David

We know the 1st Temple was greater in many ways than the 2nd. This is confirmed by Haggai 2:3, which reads: "'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing?"

Yet, Haggai 2:6-9 reads: 6 "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 'and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts. 8 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts. 9 "THE GLORY OF THIS LATTER TEMPLE SHALL BE GREATER THAN THE FORMER,' says the Lord of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts."

According to the Babylonian Talmud (Yoma 22b), the 2nd Temple lacked 5 things which had been in Solomon's Temple: the Ark, the sacred fire, the Shekinah, the Holy Spirit, and the Urim & Thummim.

It was all the rage back in the 12th century but it seems to have fallen out of favor. Somehow being cremated doesn't have the same kick as 20ft stack of burning wood and oil. Don't even get me started on how much those damn coffins cost me to transport across my river.

(For those of you "pro" abortion...) Why don't you consider abortion as being murder?

Gen 37:28 - Says Joseph was sold to the Ishmaelites by the Midinites. And the Ishmaelites sold Joseph to the Egyptians.

Gen 37:36 - Says that the Midinites sold Joseph to Poriphar, an officer of the pharaoh.

Acts 7:9 - says Patriarchs were envious and sold Joseph to Egypt

Gen 45:4 - says Joseph was sold to the Egyptians by his brothers.

Well - which was it???

When I first got saved, He told me why I kept having this specific dream and that I have the prophetic gift. Afterwards, I got up to pray and no words would come out of my mouth, only utterances. At that time God told me that is how He wanted me to be. Not what I want to say but what He tells me to say to others and that He did not make my mouth for cigarettes.

Has anyone else had an awesome thing happen to them before? This is real, so if you can't respond real please skip my question.

Do you believe that God went *poof!*, and in 7 days, humans were created?

Or do you believe that the universe went *BANG!*, and slowly over millions of years, we became what we are now, shaping our own destinies?

Why do you believe this?
