There are situations where I can understand a woman WANTING an abortion, but I think she needs to realize that two wrongs dont make a right, and a life should not have to end just because she cant deal with whatever the issue may be. My mother was soooo sick during her pregnancy she was in the ICU the whole time. The docs tried to FORCE her to abort me, saying that we would both surely die, or at the least, I would be a vegetable. Well, we are both alive and well. I was a preemie, but thanks to my mom putting it in God's hands instead of the hands of mere mortals, I am still here and so is she. She was only 18 at the time, and her boyfriend of 4 years had dumped her and married another woman before I was even born. Not to mention that my mom is a preachers daughter. Between the sickness, the heartbreak, her young age, and the ridicule, she had more reasons to abort than many girls do. If she had done that, I wouldnt be here today with a wonderful family of my own. I also have a friend who was raped and kept her baby. She knew that no matter the circumstances of conception, God gave her that baby as a gift. She let it build her up instead of break her down. Today, her son is 10 years old and a happy little guy. She will never tell him the truth, because he should not have to carry that burden, but she has given him the life he deserves. I think that people need to take responsibilities for their actions, and women who abort just because they dont want to "ruin" their lives should have kept their legs closed until they and their partner were ready and willing to have a baby. The sad thing is, abortion is like a necessary evil. If we outlawed it, our welfare and foster care systems would be overwhelmed. With 3,000 babies being aborted every day, making abortion illegal would have a major effect on our population. Its sad, but true. People just need to be smarter about sex and realize its not just pleasure, its a potentially life-creating act, AND that protection doesnt work. So they better just keep it zipped until having a baby is something they are willing to do. My husband and I conceived our daughter, and I was on the pill, using a condom, and on the last day of my period. Talk about beating the odds! She was a surprise, but we took it head on and now have a beautiful daughter and a wonderful life. How anyone could say that a baby would ruin their life, is beyond me
Oh, and babies who are SEVERLY deformed are often miscarried anyway. Why should we, ignorant humans, be able to decide wether an innocent gets to live or die
With ectopic pregnancy, where the baby cannot be saved, and will SURELY die either way, abortion is necessary simply to save the mother. Otherwise, baby AND mom will die. A baby cannot live in the fallopian tubes.
The sad thing is, many people say a baby is not a human until it can breathe on its own. If that is what they beleive, are preemies not real humans until they are off of their respirators? My nephew was born at only 21 weeks gestation. Women are still allowed to abort at that time. His eyes were still sealed, and his hands and feet were still webbed. As his mother kept vigil by his tiny side, I would like to see these pro-"choice" people tell her that he wasnt a real person, or look him in the eye and tell him that when he was born he wasnt a human, and they could have killed him guiltlessly. He is now 8 years old and 110% healthy!
CHOICE starts and ends when you unzip your pants. Just because a baby doesnt have a voice to tell you it wants to live, doesnt make it less of a human.
Wow....
If Siar thinks we are not humans until we can have a rational thought, then he must think its ok to kill kids up until the age of 18!! How ridiculous! And he's obviously un-educated, since he thinks that a sperm and an egg are a human. They are the building blocks for a baby, but by themselves, cannot become a person. What a moron! I certainly hope that no woman is stupid enough to have sex with that guy.

I am against abortion. I do not believe there are special circumstances, and if rape is the reason for abortion it doesn't matter. God has given that girl or woman a child, and He does it with a purpose. A child if a great blessing, and they are alive in the womb.If the mother or childs life is in danger it shouldn't matter. As a christian, my faith is in god and whatever happens is by His will. And why abort, is the person isn't ready for a child then give then for adoption.

Well I am pro abortion, my reasoning is based on the fact that when a baby is born most people consider it to have no age. Well for people that consider babies to be fully developed humans that can be "murdered" before they are born, why are babies born not considered nine months already. Another reason is what if you were raped, and you just happened to get pregnant, would you really want that baby. I mean after a certain amount of time I consider abortion to be wrong, maybe after 2 or more months it's a little too long to be waiting to decide to get rid of it.

Against elective abortion but I believe abortion is acceptable to save the life of the mother. That's the only circumstance I can think of.

I am against abortion and no there is no reason for it. No one stops to think about the effects of this on the mom. She goes through a terrible time of depression, without any help most of the time. They are finding also that the incidence of Breast cancer is greater when a woman has had an abortion.

Pro life:
Merited only when the mother's life is in danger, for all other cases adoption is a viable option, and from what i understand many states have laws where it is legal to leave an infant at a fire station or police department, no Q's asked, so the mother can move on with her life and let the child do the same.

I am absolutely against abortion-on-demand. It is morally reprehensible to use abortion as birth control, but I tend to differentiate between that usage and others. In cases of rape and incest, I would prefer a woman and her doctor make the decisions.

I'm pro choice- meaning I myself would not get an abortion unless it was medically necessary, but I would never tell another woman what to do with her body. It's a woman's choice, and if she feels that she doesn't want/can't handle this baby enough to have it, then she probably shouldn't. In some cases, it probably is better if the child isn't born, because other wise the mother might resent the child and abuse/neglect them.

Once conceived, a baby is alive and begins to grow. Very soon, it takes form and receives a soul and spirit. Ask yourself, what if you had been aborted and not have had life to live, and do the many things you like. never have the chance to be held in your mothers arms.
To take a life is murder.

No, I am afraid there are no circumstances which would make abortion a viable thing to do. Under any case.
