One of my parents took me to church with them. I actually enjoyed it for a while. As I matured and learned to think for myself, I found myself doubting the beliefs I was raised in.
I have learned that I still am not sure what is going on.

Disney movies like everyone else. Fantasia, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Cinderella.
I've studied many religions of many lands, both majoritarian and minority or "cult." The only difference between the "occult" and the approved faith is number of adherents. All are delusion and self-deception based on myth, magical thinking and fantasies of people who don't want to do the hard work of facing and dealing with reality (never having grown up) and want some magical being to do it for them.
You can pray to Yahweh or Damballah. You might as well pray to your toaster, except your toaster is real and can actually do something for you.
So, what I've learned is it's all crap and a waste of time but makes entertaining stories, and time spent praying is beter spent eating right, exercising, spending time with loved ones, doing whatever you find fun, meaningful and worthwhile, because time is limited and wishful thinking, rituals, chants, potions and holding your breath till your face turns blue won't alter reality.

I vaguely remember a documentary detective show I saw in elementary school piquing my interest, but there was probably something earlier.
How far have I come. Hmmm I know loads more about the occult than I did then, but no where near as much as I do about 'nother stuff.

It all started when the ministers wife asked me at age five if I would like to accept Christ. I escaped for many years, but then was caught again as a teen. I escaped once again and have been free now for the last five years. Once in awhile I think about going back, but that's just the lingering cost of having ever been born again in the first place. Moral of the story: Stay away from Jesus ladies with big hair.

Yo, I have. I'm not initiated, but I may need a group soon. I'm not very far, as have to piece it all together, without any personal help.
I'm having trouble as I'm quite LHP in attitude, but like denial. That means i can't join the Golden Dawn offshoots. I'll probably wind up in the OTO.
I've learned much in the last year, and plan on keeping up.

I have never been introduced or have come far to understanding of the occult and have learned nothing. Christians do not partake of such.

By the news paper astrology charts.
I decided to see what it was about so I bought some books and learned it. It was fairly interesting.
To a degree it's even religious.
