If so, shouldn't they be allowed to get married in a church?

Yes they are. Atheist have an intelligence gene that all thests don't have.

genetics and beliefs have no correlation. the human mind isn't preset to think one way or another. the only thing our mind does in terms of beliefs, is at what level we can understand things.

so no, they're not genetically wired to act/think/believe the way they do. and they're technically allowed to get married in a church, just a lot go for Vegas...

But I find that unlikely. The fact that so many countries are so atheistic attests to societal factors, not genetic ones.

No I don't think that atheists are genetically determined. I think it happens by study and knowledge.

I also don't know any atheist that would want to get married in a church and be 'blessed' by a pastor or priest for a deity they do not believe in.
