Yes of course I have several Bibles and bet I know it better than you do. I went to religious high schools, Bible Colleges, took comparative religions classes in college and read more bible than you can hope to read in the rest of your life.
You would be an atheist too if you would read it sometime. Having one, waving it around and actually reading it are very different things. READ IT and really know all the verses in there not just the ones your preacher wants you to read and think for yourself. Quit letting everyone else interpret the Bible and other religious books for you and you will get a real education!

Yeah I own a bible. I understand WHAT people believe, and admire their passion to a certain extent. I just don't understand WHY they believe somthing that over time is being proven more and more to be unreliable. (However I get why they would WANT to believe). I'd like to think that there is a higher energy than humans (even a God), but if there is one, I dont think they have anything to do with the bible. (I think the bible was created for political interests)

Yes. One my dad gave me when I was about ten. King James Version, gold leaf and all of Jesus' quotes in red type. Now I prefer to use the internet.
Do you have a copy of the Koran so that you can at least see what the believers are saying?? How about the Zen lessons?? Do you have the Catholic version of the bible with the other six books?? Any Darwin??
How can you see what the believers are saying??

I wish I did. If you compare the tales of Resurrection of Jesus (which is a key to Christianity) the differences are astounding. I would love to have a large print bible. Atheists often know more about the bible than Christians do.

I have my mother's old Bible that she had for many years, and I think another one someplace. I have Bible Gateway bookmarked, though, and use it almost as much as Google. I like being able to cross-reference several different versions and to look up subjects by passage, keyword, or topic. I probably know more about the Bible than most Christians.

I do have a Bible in my house, but I have not gotten a chance to read it as of yet. I plan to in the near future, though. If I'm going to be arguing against the beliefs postulated in the Bible, I might as well have a decent, unbiased (as in not told through an atheist or Christian) understanding of it.

Actually I'm agnostic but I own many bibles because they are old and have family genealogy lines handwritten in them by my ancestors. That is the only reason the bibles are in my house. Actually I keep them next to all my Harry Potter & Lord of the Rings books.

I'm not an atheist, but I am a non-believer... and yes, I have a bible.
I also attended Christians schools from 1st grade through college.
Every time someone quotes a verse, or mentions a bible story, I know what they're talking about.
I still absolutely believe that not a bit of it is divinely inspired.

I had a Bible at home for a long, long time but somehow it got misplaced... I think it went out in the trash. I'll have to wait for the Gideon ladies to come by and replace it for me - there's no way I'll go out and spend my good money on a book as full of tripe as the Bible is.!
I'm saving my book-money for the final episode of the Harry Potter series - I like reading quality fantasy.

Nah, I probably have some crappy New Testament they gave us in elementary school, but I think it's at the bottom of some box. What the crap do I need a Bible for if I don't believe in organized religion? I read it when I was in high school. It's kind of like a fairy tale...empty, meaningless fluff!
