I like the man's work, but think he might have been a little insane [bearing in mind genius and insanity are closely related.]

Joe Wright is the pastor of Central Christian Church in Wichita and was guest chaplain in the Kansas House (not Senate) in Topeka on January 23, 1996. He prayed a prayer of repentance that was written by Bob Russell, pastor of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky. According to an article in the Kansas City Star from January 24, 1996, his prayer did stir controversy and one member of the legislative body walked out. Others criticized the prayer.

Pastor Joe Wright lived up to his name and did what was right (punt intended). A true man of God would never sell out to the ungodly people who would be present. He was right in what he prayed and today, we still need to pray for our Nation and community, as he did. Below is a copy of his prayer that day in Kansas.

I already know this (well, i know what i belive.), but i want to know the majority of people in here, and what they belive.
I personally belive In the name of Jesus Christ, since it clearly says in Acts 2:38 to be baptised "in the name of Jesus" but id like to know what you belive and why.

I'm wondering if anyone knows if anyone has ever sat down and actually figured out how big the Ark would actually have had to been using the number of species on Earth, their size, the room for food etc? If not I think it would be a great little problem for some math dept,I'm figuring something between the size of Manhattan to Rhode Island but I would love a better answer. Instead of proving they couldn't fit into the space need, lets figure out how much space is actually needed,it is however way above my math level or I would do it myself.

....and am willing to apologize when I feel I've hurt someone, or even apologize to myself, or even my environment. Now that I can say sorry like a grown a$$ man. Now does Jesus realized he didn't need to die for MY sins, because I handle my wrong doings like a man?

Maybe you should give a try......ladies too.

Christians believe that Jesus' death and ressurection saved all of humanity from death. So... if Jewish people were the ones responsible for His death... Instead of persecuting them for thousands of years...shouldn't we thank them?

In an attempt to study Christianity I've gone to pro-Christian (non-extreme) websites. I've read the Bible. I've occasionally gone to churches for the sake of interest. I've read about Jesus and about Christianity, all from a Christian perspective, I've chatted with priests and religious people...

but I still don't buy it or think Jesus is anything more than a normal human from 2,000 years ago. I just cannot see myself ever believing what Christianity is or doing what Christians do. So why have I not turned to Christianity when so many have done so?

I'm firmly set in my current beliefs and have had them all my life from childhood to adulthood. I'm not closed-minded and I approached my researching of Chirstianity with an open mind.

PS: This isn't meant to be an insulting question. This is a serious question. Thanks.

So, who else is drinking on this fine night? And how far gone are you? I'd estimate that the state would not want me driving at this moment.

Also, what are you drinking? I have Jim Beam.

does this offend Jesus?
