I already know this (well, i know what i belive.), but i want to know the majority of people in here, and what they belive.
I personally belive In the name of Jesus Christ, since it clearly says in Acts 2:38 to be baptised "in the name of Jesus" but id like to know what you belive and why.

I totally agree! I got water baptized at a UPC. I actually get angry when people baptize "in the name of Father, Son, and Holy Ghost". I can understand why they do, but if people would study the Bible closer, they would discover that this is not what they are suppose to say when they baptize! There is only one name and His name is JESUS! There is no other name given under Heaven where a man might be saved. Thank you for asking this very important question and I hope that people who have not been baptized in the name of Jesus should think about doing it right. Also some food for thought, Jesus real name is Yahshua. Which translated means God's Salvation. So literally Jesus has the name of the Father in His name. That name is YAH, which is short for Yahweh. Alleluia-YAH, which means, Praise God. I hope that this teaching will bring people into a closer, more intimate relationship with God.

I would Baptize in the name of Jesus. I would however have no problem with baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, And Holy Spirit. Same GOD.
I have a slightly strange way of looking at Baptism. We all know that baptism is symbolic of dieing being buried and rising with Christ and that rocks. I have also heard it described as being dyed with the Holy Spirit. I love that idea!

Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Act 8:16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Act 10:48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

Mt.16:13-15 ...Who do men say that the Son of man is?...
Jesus talking about himself didn't always come right out and say his own name.
Did the disciples obey Jesus, or did they only repeat his words?
When your online bank says type your mother's maiden name... do you type the words "your" "mother's" ... that's not obeying, that's repeating.
You may have a wife, a grandma and a niece, but when you pay with a check you don't write "husband, grandson, uncle"...
the check does not show your authorization until you sign your name. The name carries authority.
1Cor.1:13 ...was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?

$1000 reward to anyone who can show me in the bible where anyone ever actually got baptized with the words "of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost" repeated over them.

Acts4:10. Be it known unto you all...the name of Jesus ... 12...there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism...

1Pet.3:20-21 ...in the days of Noah ... eight souls were saved by water. The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us ... by the resurrection of Jesus Christ

I believe in the way Jesus told you to baptize in Matthew 28 : 19 .. Go ye therefore , and teach all nations , baptizing them in the name of the Father , and of the Son , and of The Holy Ghost .. If this is what Jesus instructed us as Christians to do by His own Word , why does man continually assume there is another way ??

Hello! I believe that those who would be baptized, upon confessing their acceptance of forgiveness of sins as is offered by God, that such ones should be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I've believed that ever since I was a young boy and still do. I will admit though when I see folks being baptized in church, I usually stretch forth my finger and say "In Jesus name, in Jesus name"! I am not apostolic, yet time and again I find myself saying it during these special times. I believe we have the authority to use the name of Jesus because it was given to us by Jesus Himself. Believers have been baptized in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit... as well as in Jesus' name and in the name of the Lord Jesus... as seen in the New Testament. I believe when I make it through the portals of glory I will see Jesus Christ, Abba Father God and the Holy Spirit. That's where I stand friend. Peace!

The proper formula for Baptism should be in the name of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I'm a Catholic, and our Archbishop baptizes people (a 'regular lay Catholic' can only give 'provisional baptism' if a person is 'going to die' or could die, and that must be 'confirmed' by the Archbishop or Bishop) ...
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit ...

The CHURCH teaches that one is to be Baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is not open for debate.
