Everybody here has real friends and everybody here has a life and everybody here would like to be a top contributor. But it takes time and many days.
What you do is do you best to answer the questions the best way you know how every time you get and eventually you will havea the top contributor sign. And when you get one, you will know that you will have earned it with great pride and joy!

Oh please do you think any of us begged yahoo to give us that little orange marker. I do about half my work on the computer and have been using this forum for almost a year now off and on.
As far as I'm concerned yahoo can take the points away totally - I'd still use the forum. I certainly don't do it for the points I do it for the entertainment and stress relief.

You just spend what time you have sitting at the computer....I don't sit here all day. I never tried to get top contributer but I did by answering as much as I can, whenever I can.

Hey, I'd give you mine if I could. It bugs me. But be careful about the "having a life" comment. I work full time, have a husband and 3 kids. I do consider that a life.

The title is nothing special to me. You do not actually have to be by computer whole day, just consistently a little bit at the time and in the same category. : )
I give time to my family and friends and I have a very active life and work outside of the Answers.

How about incorporating it into your avatar? It won't look EXACTLY like the others, but with that distinctive shade of orange, a quick glance could fool some people. If you didn't look directly at it when you pulled up your profile, you could imagine yourself in our inexplicably shiny company.

I have one of those next to my name and I have a full time job, go to school full time and still go out with friends. I think the trick is to have the best answer. That's 10 points right there.
