Now i dont know the full story so thats why im asking.
And supposing, just supposing, hypothetically that the bible and stuff was actually truth and fact
If Adam and Eve were the first 2 people on earth, and they had 2 sons Caen and Abel, how did the rest of the population come to be?
Are we all supposed to be a world descended from inbreds?
Im atheist but i like to hear religious ppl explain what may or may not be massive flaws in their belief system

Even if Adam and Eve had 500 children to form a poulation somewhere along the line incest would have to occur!
so for the ppl stating "first not only" your answer is flawed!

The typical response I hear is something along the lines of:
"People back then were perfect, so incest wasn't a problem. Incest only causes problems now because we are sinners."
So apparently they do believe we are all inbreds.

The thing is the bible was written in mans words for at least two reasons, one so man kind could con, and brainwash others, and of course control the people of the world, leaving much of the true words of God out, or twisted, the second reason to make it simply, if you was to try and explain to man thousands of years ago about evolution they wouldn't have a clue, but if you were to call to living orgasms Adam, and Eve and say this was how we began they would have understood, and mans idea that we are created in his image is also misunderstood, i mean what is his image, its only man that thinks he means as we are now, God is not and never has been a being he, is not even a he God is everything, and none of what i have said can be proved right or wrong, but think about it even if you do not believe in God, it makes more sense than what we have been told,

Probably the part of the bible relating to Adam and Eve would have been written at a time when a lot of other countries wasn't known about.
Taking this as being correct, it is feasible that Cain travelled to another land and found a wife. Obviously Adam and Eve were not the only people on earth at the time, there were others in other lands.

Adam and Eve had many children. Now you must admit that even you, at one time had a crush on a cousin. I haven't come across anyone yet who didn't admit to it. There may be some liars around. And, believe it or not, there are still some cousins today who marry. 20-20 did a report on it last year. There are no genetic problems, just more potential for problems. These couples had perfectly healthy children. This is not accepted in today's world but it was back then. They also didn't have the massive genetic problems that you see today, especially the closer you get to the purity of creation. I'd suggest if you believe in evolution you'd also have to take this into account. Not like a population popped up overnight to where you wouldn't get any family overlap.

According to scrolls dating back to the Kingdom of Judah prior to their fall to the Babylonians, Eve was Adam's second wife, his first wife being a woman created on the same 'day' named Lilith. After their return from Babylon to Canaan, that Scroll and many others, were omitted from Jewish Synogogal worship. So, the same thing probably is true of the scrolls that told about Cain's and Abels' many sisters, one of whom became Seth's wife, and there were likely a LOT more siblings, of both genders.
And, yes, according to what is still to be had on the subject, we are all supposed to be a world descended from inbreds.
Now, if it were ME doing the planning of the Creation, I would have taught Lilith and Eve how to empregnate themselves with previously-prepared frozen embryos and I would have had them teach the same to all of their daughters, and I would have provided them a myriad of frozen embryos.
I would have given them the law that they could have no coital relationships with any of the men until after their pregnancy tests had turned up positive, and the law that such would have to cease following each birth until their next positive pregnancy test.
That way, none of them would acutally have been carrying the exact same DNA and technically, none of them would have been inbreds.
So, assuming that we were created by an omniscient deity, I would also assume that He would have had a much better plan than mine.

Yes rhe start of the bible is complete rubbish...that is fact and all of the science we have gained from studying the medical and ecological factors as well as the trace we have done on our own ancestry have proven this to be flawed. There is no way we came from Adam and Eve. We are now getting in to cross breeding of diffrent human species that have evolved in diffrent parts of the world.
The bible has it totally wrong and was created to explain everything to any who would believe in it. Those who preached the bible would then gain controll of the followers.
The bible says though shall not kill. Bush isnt going to heaven then.
The list of errors in the bible and what it preaches is endless. But people still want to believe in God. It is a form of medication for the many to assure themselves that they just have to get on with their lives as there is nothing they can do about anything it is just gods will in motion.
If you took the bible away from many they may have to explain alot more things to themselves and go crazy. So maybe its best to keep the Bible otherwise we may need alot more insanity asylums.
But take it further than Adam and Eve and Cain and Able. Lets go to where God cleared the world and decided to flood everything and get all the animals on to Noahs Ark. If that was the case then everything on the face of the planet will have to have come from inbreeding on a massive scale.
Even from that point and the small group on the Ark we have several diffrent ethnic cultures spread over the world...how did all that happen.
The Bible just gets better and better at explaining things.

I am Christian, and I must admit, this is a very good question. Quite concerning too. I've thought about it for ages, and the only thing I can think of is that God didn't just make Adam and Eve, but perhaps many other people. He had to so that the human population could result.
A friend and I were discussing this once... The bible says that man (the first one, of course, being Adam) is made in God's image. If we're all imbred, then our our chromosomes got horrifically mixed up, and we probably look nothing like God anymore.
Cheers ^_^

Cain and Abel, and Seth, and all of their other brothers and sisters must have married their other brothers and sisters, if all mankind is descended from Adam and Eve. Otherwise, there would have been no more generations after the first! God didn't forbid marrying close relatives until Moses' time.

Well, existence of the human race had to start somewhere really didn't it, if they meant this way, then so be it, do not complain as it doesn't really affect you now!
And genetically, as the first people on earth, mutations would not have occured on the same scale they do now than if you were to have intercourse with a relative in the present day.

I believe that it is written that God made Adam and Eve and then he made 1 couple for each of the continents. So, for Africa he made a man and woman, they had sex, had kids and hey presto the world was inhabited. Adam and Eve's kids travelled to distant lands to marry these people and thus we are all related to Adam and Eve. Not through incest, but through the scattering of peoples. You need to read your Bible.
