Yes.

The same way the phrase "Don't hate the playa, Hate the game" is also used by tools.

No it does not. Let's not read into something that is not said. Take it for what is said. Hate the sin, yet love the sinner. We are all sinners. There is non righteous aside from God, no not one. That is the Word of God. May God Bless U.

Well, we're all sinners to begin with. No one can really be self-righteous, everyone is sinful, but I don't like sin, and I want to get rid of it in my life. I also want to love everyone, although that is very hard to do. I think it is in Romans 7 where Paul talks about how he does stuff that he wishes he didn't do, and he doesn't do stuff that he wish he would do. God knows no one is perfect. That's why he sent Jesus to die for us and rise again, to defeat death and save us from our own sins. Anyone who thinks they aren't a sinner besides Jesus is just plan ignorant. Thanks for reading and God bless.

How else would you have it? "Hate the sinner, love the sin?" Or "Hate the sinner, hate the sin?" Or maybe both, as in "Love the sinner, love the sin."

The point is, we're supposed to embrace the individual in spite of his or her actions and help people become more Christian, as in more Loving/Kind/Charitable/etc. People do carry morality-enforcement to extremes, I'll grant that, but there's nothing inherently wrong with loving sinners and hating their sins until people begin to assume that they have gone beyond the need to improve themselves whilst crusading for moral principles.

Note that according to the Bible, we are ALL sinners and thus, being equal on that level, can't/shouldn't hold ourselves morally superior. This saying could also be rephrased as, "Interact with your fellow humans positively, but demand action on their faults."

I don't understand how it would be possible to get such an inference from that statement. Adversely, the message seems to suggest the contrary. Suppose a parent were to say, "I hate what my son/daughter did and I think it was really wrong of them to do that but I still really love and care about him or her." This seems to illustrate a loving parent. Take notice that self-righteousness and judgmentalism would cause one to be quite unloving towards the sinner. Hope this helps!

Just saying..Love one another, as God loves us. And God forgives us also. All we can do is Love and Pray for one another and ask for forgiveness. No one is with out sin. No sin is greater than the other. That's not been self -righteous. being a Christan is hard work ,and often we come across situations we do not under stand. Prayer is the answer, God answers our prayers! My Advice is pray, and obey God.

It's a way of saying "I disagree with your actions but I'm going to accept you anyways." I prefer those people over those that hate the sinner for the sin.

Not at all. You can care about a person, but not like the way they act. God loves the sinner, but not the sin. Are you calling God self righteous?

Nah. That would be "hate the sinner eventhough that's a sin". Some people really do love their neighbor and just try to be good people. Hard to believe but true.

No it is the same thing as when you are parenting your child and they have bad behaviors. You hate the behavior, not the child!!!! Or hating the behaviors of anyone in general but still loving them. The only self righteous tools then would be the liberals who tell us to conserve everthing, fuel, food, trees, animals, energy, etc. and then drive their limos back to their multi million dollar estates to be waited on by their servents. Oh, and its ok to kill babies as long as we dont harm and owls in the process or Lord forbid a kitten or puppy.

When you can see beyond the actions and realize that people who separate themselves from God are still people you can look past the sin and have compassion for the person. Many times their just confused or afraid so they follow the path of least resistance for the sake of safety.
