Mine sings the old, well loved songs of the church. Exactly the way it should be. I hope everyone can make it to church tomorrow. God Bless

When I said 'new age" I meant the contempary style. I didn't mean to offend anyone who does sing or like the new stuff though. I just prefer the traditional hymns myself.

I desire the countless previous Hymns that are commonly expressive of deep theory. the countless modern "songs" demonstrate the comparable theory and could final the try of time. in spite of the indisputable fact that some are rubbish the two the music is undesirable or the words are undesirable. the former could be corrected by way of recent music however the latter by no skill. I do have a undertaking with the greater cutting-side amenities because of the fact i've got faith the informality detracts from what replaced into as quickly as termed the "secret" of the resurrection and communion. i've got faith that's someway procuring and advertising a touch too on the brink of disrespectful

...We do mostly newer songs, but the great hymns of the faith are sung also. I personally like a mixed bag - several styles.
...I don't care to hear loud rock-style music, or rap, or opera-type stuff in church, but sometimes I must.
...I play soft acoustic guitar before my Sunday school, and I play a selection of hymns, praise, and Gospel bluegrass songs.
...I play in a Gospel bluegrass band, too, and we do a few gigs nearby - this music I love, and the acoustic sound is so much fun.

We mix them together. I am guessing you have never heard some of the old hymns that have been put to modern music. You should listen to them, they sound sooooooo much better, and God does not care that the music has a beat now just that the words are uplifting of Him.
Do you even know that the majority of the old hymns were written to music from bar toons?

My church enjoys both contemporary and "traditional" worship. It depends on how the worship leader is being lead. By the way, contemporary does not mean new age. There is a big difference between the two. One is about worshiping God, the other about worshiping the god in self.

My church (which I don't attend) usually plays hymns from what i heard...
I really need to go to church;
I also really need to smarten up...
"Joyful joyful will the meeting be,
When from sin my heart is pure and free..."
God Bless.
