After all the stuff that has happened to me it is a wonder I am still alive to answer this. I am not satisfied, but think that to have been happy my personality would have necessarily been different at birth - because I am too sensitive, let my parents push me around as a youth, became insecure, married for the wrong reasons, have no innate common sense or mechanical skills, mediocre people skills, plagued with family illness, yet with great talents across many disciplines and too much intelligence for my own good, etc. In short - wrong reactions to curves being thrown to me in this life that have led me here.
I KNOW what's wrong but am incapable of making such extensive changes that I feel would be necessary because my personality does not include the necessary tools to effect such a vast broad-brush change - in essence I would need a "personality transfusion". Yet what do I do? Kill myself - hardly.
Instead, I wish I had been born with (instead of acquiring a measure of) confidence, people skills, less intelligence but more "savvy", no fear to take risks like running away from home if that's what it would take to get to a better place than where my life has actually led me. And you want to know something? I believe most people have the same issues unless they are dead martyrs. It is the nature of life - we sinned, therefore God is teaching us. I am not a gracious learner.

I'm surprisingly satisfied with my life. I never thought I'd be this satisfied with it. Sure, there are still things I could do to make my life even more fulfilling, but I can work on those things. I guess what I'm trying to say is if I died tomorrow, I'd have no regrets.

Yes! I feel grateful for my life every day! I live in paradise! I have a great home. A great marriage and kids that are better human beings than I ever was at their age.
The only thing, honestly, that I would do differently is I would have left Christianity sooner. (And just maybe I would have stopped dating "the psycho" the first time we broke up)

I really am satisfied with my life as the Lord saved my soul and let me know that indeed Romans 8:28 is REALLY true.
All things work together for good to them that love the Lord and are the called according to his purpose.
Because of that scripture I know that the Lord is working everyting out that is best for me even when it looks bad.
I LOVE THE LORD. THAT IS WHERE THE PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING COMES FROM.
Thanks for your question..

My husband and I just spent 28 years of our lives taking care of various members of his family and mine. Our family responsibilities ended exactly one month before he received an offer to transfer down to the part of the country that we love best and have always considered to be our "real" home.
God gave us a beautiful house down here in Missouri, and we're close to old friends. The worries and responsibilities of taking care of ill, emotionally disturbed, or handicapped people is off our shoulders, and we can enjoy our own lives again. I love God, my church, and my home town more than I can say. Each day I get to live down here is a cause for gratitude in my opinion.
I can truthfully say that I am the happiest I have been in my entire life!

In a general sense yes. If I could go back I think the main thing is I would have been nicer to people; everytime we're rude to someone or something, it seems to haunt you for the rest of your life. I still think back on things I said in elementary school!

Yes. I have someone I love dearly who is the perfect match to me. I have wonderful family and friends. I have a job that is challenging and fulfilling. I have a roof over my head, can put food on my table and clothes on my back. I help out those in need when I can.
I don't need toys, fancy cars, gadgets to make me happy. I am happy just being me.

I was not until 3 years ago, then the lord changed it forever. I have found the simple, undeniable truth. After I joined The Church of Jesus Christ L.D.S. I have been blessed in all ways. That is not to say I do not have challenges or problems but I am truly happy in my life now.

For the most part, yes...Some have more, some have less, but I have a loving family and few good friends I'd trust with my life. I really can't ask for anything more
