Feed his sheep. Take the Gospel to all people in all nations and in places to convert them and set up the True Church. They done very well as their word is still around in the New Testament. Although the Church went into apostasy their words and teaching remained for all to have.

Preach the gospel....He taught his disciples for 3 years so they were equipped to be leaders....then they had to go follow the Great Commission.
