Our pastor tells us the stories from the Bible and my favorites are the ones about Jesus. He's my favorite super hero. My friends think superman is better and I like him too, but Jesus seems more magical, you know?

I was thinking how cool it would be if he was a real person! Superman, too!

As a youth i was a full of religious zeal. And i recall to this day reading the bible constantly and voraciously.

I would read and read and hope to understand more of gods will and then one little thing hit me.

Giants.

I started trying to understand this idea that giants (people that exceeded 15 feet in height) existed and i came to the conclusion that it was probably a exaggeration.

And then it all hit me like a ton of bricks, i started paying attention to the contradictions and that i had seen before and stopped ignoring them. Instead of trying to get a better understanding of god, i think i tried to get a better understanding of the bible itself.

I do sometimes miss the idea of a god type figure, but you gotta grow up sometimes i suppose.

My advice to any christian that wants to remain one.. DO NOT READ THE BIBLE, if you are a logical person your fall from grace is all but assured.

If our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ had made the Bible understandable, we wouldn't need to hear from God today.

That's the beauty of the precious Word of God. You see, God tells the Baptists that you must be baptized in order to be saved. It's in the Bible,

and the Oneness Pentecostals say that if you do not speak the name of Jesus when you are baptized, you'll go to Hell.

And there are many different interpretations of scripture about petty things like salvation, faith, how to live and Hell, but that's the Way God intended it.

So God speaks directly to people. He may tell one that he is 1,000 feet tall and that he is to ask for $10,000 to save his ministry, or God may speak to another and tell him that Jesus is coming back April 14th, and he may speak to even another and tell him to kill all the cats in the neighborhood!

Either way the important thing is to OBEY what God tells you.

Just make sure you can make the Bible agree with it! It's pretty easy tho - God is flexible!

I do not want to offend anybody. I just would like to know where is EVIDENCE that the Jewish people are the "choosing folk".

I try to understand all this, but it's hard without any sourses. I do not want to go by what just was said by somebody thousands of years ago. I would like to see this being proofed.

I was searching all over but could not find anything so far. Came to the conclusion that not knowing is believing. Is that all? Just: you don't know, so you just believe?

Where is the evidence?

I want you to understand this people.

The nations of Pakistan and India have been traditional enemies, although the people are of the same race. Just different religion. Pkstni Pride is obviously a Pakistani nationalist. He hates Hindus and Buddhists, because both religions originated in India. He hates Hinduism more because it is primarily practiced by Indinas (read his q's, they are very innappropriate). This is because of nationalism, not retardedness.

All thought the two diseases are similiar.

i mean i dont want to be a atheist..because i think there might be a chance that i might go to hell or something if there is a god..im too afraid to ask my siblings or parents because when my brother told my parents he was agnostic they made him move in with my aunt..and i dont want that to happen to me..and its not like my family even are really practice islam really..so i dont even know y they would even care so much so can anyone encourage me into being muslim or atheist or something i am so confused about all of this

IThen how come so many people believe every thing in the bible is true? Most of the bible is written on hearsay by mortal men who got together to decide what should be written and what should be omitted. Some of those stories are more like Alice in Wonderland. (I never liked that story as a child. Too weird and far fetched)

If he is willing but not able to prevent evil, he is useless, if he is able but not willing to prevent evil, he is useless... if he is willing and able to prevent evil, but does not, he is useless... If he is able and willing to prevent evil, but does not... he is not a god at all.

So why does evil exist? That must mean there is either no god, or he is useless and should not be whorshipped... What do you think?

Hello, I am going to be conducting a short interview with someone of a different faith then mine for information for a school paper. I am not asking for anyone to do my work for me but I am asking for ideas on what may be good questions to ask about in order to learn more about a faith other then mine. If anyone could throw a few ideas at me it might be helpful and give me something to think about. I want to research this so I can write the best paper I can so I must get ideas and ask the right questions.
