GO to www.onlinebible.com and download the free starter kit. It makes no since to have division when God established everything with our elders. We have dictionaries, encylopedias, concordance no reason to lean to our own understanding in anything. So my question again is why do we have so much division with one Book? Look up freethinker before responding!!

See Daryl that one statement you made proves our point. You read our posting and feel condemn and say we are bashing! When in fact we are asking question to make sense of confusing times. How in the world can people parade around town saying they are Christians "disciples" of Christ "learners" and there is so much blantant sin going on? Secondly we know exactly we are talking about for we are not making "freethought" statements! Spend some time researching what's posted before broadcasting your ignorance to all! For we spend countless hours researching what our Father reveals to us in his word and he says directly to us! Thirdly Jesus Christ raised me up and is declaring his wisdom unto me! SO we share and question others! We have better conversations outside the church community with science advocaters. Then with people who don't even know the bible lol and profess they do!

It depends on what version of the Bible you read. If you use the NIV, there are many, many contradictions, as with the NASB, NKJV, ASV, etc, etc. However, with the KJV, THERE ARE NO CONTRADICTIONS WHATSOEVER!!!

And, I can prove it.

The reasons PEOPLE try to contradict the Bible (KJV) is because it steps on their toes and tells them when they are wrong, and they don't like that. But, the Bible is just a mirror, and it only shows us our true selves, bar none!

Becuase every man has an idea of what the Bible is saying to him. He then takes that idea and forms a denomination. There are men who don't like any form of punishment in the Bible, so they take out any form or mention of the consquence of doing wrong and put something in there that "feels better" and doesn't make them feel bad. There are men who will take one verse of the Bible and design a denomination around that verse and any other verse that supports it. For example: The Apostolic church gets their belief system from where the disciples of Christ (those who were taught by Jesus Christ) became apostles (those who were sent out into the Roman world to tell others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ) and if anyone says that they aren't being true Christians than the Apostolic believer will point out Acts 2:38

The Nazarene denomination was started by the leaders noting that Jesus Christ was a Nazarite and they formed rules and regulations about how to be a Nazarene believer.

The Church of God denomination comes from the verse in the Bible (don't know exactly where) where the church is referred to as the "church of God" meaning corporately.

But in all of this, there is one way to understand the Bible and that is to have a concordance like the Strong's Concordance or the Matthew Henry Concise Commentary.

Interesting question, but can I begin by making a few statements, first of all there is no perfect church, secondly there are different interpretations to different parts of the Bible.

I agree with you in some cases that there are certain rituals etc that have nothing whatsoever to do with the Bible, but within denominations and non-denominations there are different interpretations of what certain passages may mean, and how they should be applied, most are mainly minor issues, though not all.

Having said all that I would be careful when judging others in this, because in doing so you are implying you have a perfect knowledge of the Bible and others don't. I am not being critical here just cautious.

it somewhat is wishful questioning for any JW to think of their awareness is from the Bible. in actuality each and all the questioning is achieved for them by using analyzing of the guides from Watchtower BTS. If such components did not exist, then the analyzing of Jesus' actual ascent into Heaven interior the Bible will honestly not be hindered. Do all JWs not watch television now? it somewhat is a entire loss provided that it somewhat is the only way all eyes will see Him. There are patently some JWs right here who remoted themselves from society, those are people who're not searching for Jesus' 2nd coming, yet somewhat they might seem to their fake leaders for temporal help. Please do not take this as an offense from a Christian's view, I basically prefer to show out the reality somewhat words. actually, the Watchtower BTS fake teachings are certainly contradicting what's written in lots of diverse places of the Bible.

You clearly do not know what you are talking about. When is the last time that you even stepped inside a church, let alone stayed long enough to learn anything? I love you people. You take your best guess at what you THINK might go on in a church, then accept it as truth, and run with it like you can't wait to tell everyone.

Where I worship, WE are the church. The building is only a building. We worship God and Jesus Christ in truth and in spirit. We believe that the Bible is the infallible Word of God, and we treat it as such. Truth. Period.

What do you do with the Bible, besides use it as a tool to bash others with?

Your observation is correct. Some denominations or churches, actually read the bible from front to end, each service covering a different chapter and studying God's word as it was intended. Then there are those who add to the bible, why I don't know. None of the rituals are biblical. As a matter of fact Jesus warns of them as they tend to bypass the true meaning of the bible. Others use it for their own gain, by picking certain verses and then applying them in the wrong way, not reading the verse in context. It is a sad fact, that's for sure. Investigate the church you might want to attend, and make sure they study through the bible, sing and leave it at that.

Why, brother, you ask a fine question, hallelujah!

Because God still speaks today - if our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ hadmade the Bible understandable, we wouldn't need to hear from God today.

That's the beauty of the precious Word of God. You see, God tells the Baptists that you must be baptized in order to be saved. It's in the Bible,

and the Oneness Pentecostals say that if you do not speak the name of Jesus when you are baptized, you'll go to Hell.

And there are many different interpretations of scripture about petty things like salvation, faith, how to live and Hell, and that's the Way God intended it.

So God bypasses the Bible and speaks directly to people. He may tell one that he is 1,000 fett tall and that he is to ask for $10,000 to save his ministry, or God may speak to another and tell him that Jesus is coming back April 14th, and he may speak to even another and tell him to kill al the cats in the neighborhood!

Either way the important thing is to OBEY what GOd tells you.

So it doesn't matter what the Bible SAYS, it matters if you make an attempt to interpret within the Bible what you hear God is speaking to you. If you can make it fit, then you'd better do it!

They use the Bible and then contradict what's written because the Bible is such a very important book that we the believers of the book use to further our knowledge. The only people that contradicts the Bible are the ones that don't believe in it. Because so many people and religion and nations do believe in the Bible and the ones who oppose the book are usually the ones who wants to be noticed and heard by the world.

I am not sure exactly what you mean. If you are talking about people sinning than that is because we are all human. If you mean part of the bible saying the opposite thing that the other part states that is because Christ was the inspiration for the New Testament. If you are talking about the people who claim to be Christian and still do horrible stuff that is because they are simply lying or they think that just believing is enough to save them.

The bible is interpreted differently from person to person, and from denomination to denomination, too. There's no getting around it. The ideas may have come from God, but the words used to express them came from man.
