can a myth and a story could have a psychological significance of any personal experience?

It depends entirely on the situation. If the myth is way out of proportion of possibility, and your brain can't understand it, that means that you have nothing to do with the story. If it was a personal experience that is closely related to the myth, then maybe something conclusive would come out of it.
