IThen how come so many people believe every thing in the bible is true? Most of the bible is written on hearsay by mortal men who got together to decide what should be written and what should be omitted. Some of those stories are more like Alice in Wonderland. (I never liked that story as a child. Too weird and far fetched)

I think the 10 commandments are really good rules to live by, and also believe in a creator. It's some things that are written in the Bible I have a problem with.

Martin S. That's what I mean. Do you honestly belive that Non Christians are Evil? Do you Believe other Religions are False, even if they belive in God and are good loving humans?
I can't belive that God was is so narrow minded and hasn't given insight to others in their own language and sent forth more than one son to enlighten people, because not all lived in the same place. The were all over the world.

Depends on the friend.
I'm afraid you're mistaken about how the Bible was written. Perhaps you should read up on Bible history before you dismiss the whole thing. Just a suggestion.

Since I'm a Bible believing Christian I don't listen to gossip nor engage in it myself.
Romans 1:28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 29They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
As to why I believe the Bible is true, that's because it is God's Word that has stood firm despite centuries of assaults as generation after generation of unbelievers has tried to prove that it is wrong. But as it is written:
1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

2 Tim 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work.
You should believe Jehovah God before you trust man.
Jehovah is God and Jesus is his Son. Man can't do a thing for you, only Jehovah and Jesus can because they care for you.

Well, I have to say I am offended by you comparing the bible to "Alice in Wonderland."
"Alice" is far better written, has more basis in fact, and features a talking caterpillar.
And "Jabberwocky", of course.
:)
