I can find no scriptural evidence that Mary was to be revered the way she is nor do I see any scripture references to her appearing in visions to people. There's really not much, if anything, said in scripture about her by the Apostles after the death and resurrection of Jesus.

Modern Christian thoughts confuse me a lot.

When I research and ask, people tell me that I need to believe that Jesus died for my sins, and I need to worship God through Jesus in order to be saved.

So what else do I need to do in order to be worthy in the eyes of God?

Is it not enough that I believe in God?

Is it not enough that I wish to worship Him. and Him alone?

do I need to put a medium between me and Him? Isnt it more Merciful for God to accept me as I am and allow me to worship Him without resorting to worshipping a man who is no more?

I see no Jesus when I look in the sky...I see no Jesus when I look in the sea. I see Gods creation. And I see His Power.

Do you think that the current way we hold church (which, let's admit, is not exactly how the NT church did it) is getting ready to change? Do you think this would be good or bad? I beleive that there is a higher being, but not neccesarily a God. I beleive that homosexuality and abortion should be supported. I beleive that even though Jesus may or may not have been a real person, we can learn alot from his stories. I beleive that the bible is an old story book, and we can learn from it, but should not focus on it. I need a religion that is very very open minded, and have not found it yet. Any suggestions of religions that I could look into? TY!!

I am aware that most, if not all, of the world considers Jesus as a good teacher. Even I can appreciate the idea of "treat your neighbor the way you want to be treated" and "treat your enemies the way you would treat your friends". Jesus makes a lot of good points in his teachings.

However, Islam is the only religion I know of that recognizes Jesus as an important prophet, and Christianity is the only religion that sees him as the son of god.

But I have heard people on hear deny the actual existence of Jesus. Come on, guys, you are making us look stupid! Just because there is no god doesn't mean there was no Jesus.

We might as well start denying the existence of other men. Do we deny the existence of Muhammad? Not that I know of.

What I am trying to say is, does anyone have evidence to suggest that Jesus did not exist? If there is no evidence, then it is as proven as the claim that Catholics eat his flesh, or that God exists.

Some Biblical scholars say the dinosaurs coexisted with mankind. Other people say the discovery of Dinosaurs is proof the Bible is inaccurate.

Also, what about dragons mentioned in the Bible ? What are these beasts ?

Wouldn't we be on satan's side by not believing in jesus? Why would satan burn us for doing what satan wants? Obviously GOD CAN'T CONTROL SATAN, because satan is running around tempting us right?

We can't all be some guy named Sean in Chicago who has a wife and son and is an atheist . . . some of us are Teds or Bills or Stacys or Mary Annes and some are agnostics in Phoenix and others are Christians in San Antonio and some are Muslims in Dearborn,

but can we work towards the progress of the human race, and march together for this goal?

Then why did he not simply create us for to be perfect for the existing environment? With his unlimited power surely he could have conceived of beings that could survive and be happy in the vacuum of space.

We were not created by god. Nor was the Earth. What we observe is what we would expect to find if we evolved to be well adapted to our environment, not the other way around as the major religions would have you believe.

So why then would god go through all the trouble to create this immense universe just for us when he could have simply created us for the existing environment?
