It's kind of a bummer for you if you're a Christian.
God hates shellfish.

Leviticus 11:9-12
These shall ye eat of all that are in the waters: whatsoever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. And all that have not fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination unto you: They shall be even an abomination unto you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcases in abomination. Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you.

Deuteronomy 14:9-10
These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat: whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

In the Bible there is a passage about love, 1 Corinthians 13. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." My stepdad has told me that no one can love like that. I told him that people can try. I also said God can love like that; he said no he cannot. He said God keeps records of wrongs. He forgives during our lives but at the end, he has those records of our wrongs. I just want to believe God can love us like this passage. Is God's love like, 1 Corinthians 13? Can people love like that?

My dreams are repetitive and even include different styles of flight. One night I'm flying like superman, the next I'm flapping my arms like a bird, and the next I'm floating like Peter Pan. This has occured since I was a child, and I always awake feeling refreshed. Nobody else in my dreams can fly. Am I the only one that experiences this?

Okay- the R&S category has seen some serious venom lately towards everyone of a diffrent belief. I'd like all who are willing to say something nice about another faith system.
I'll go first

I admire the teachings of Jesus- he was a wise, adn good man.

I also admire what I've read about the teachings of Budda

I admire the passion people display about their faith. And their unflagging courage to defend their beliefs.

If there was proof and I mean REAL PROOF that Jesus was just a man and nothing more would you admit that Christianity is a false religion?

and please don't tell me "well there wouldn't be any proof because Jesus wasn't just a man, he was the son of god" or wotever..

Same thing goes for Muslims and Allah, or Mohammed What if you found out he was just a man and not anything more. & that he was a liar?

This is just an inocent question to the Mono-Theistic religions of the world... no bashing I was just wondering how the "peace loving" religions of the world would react to any proof of this kind!

Yesterday I posted a question about human and chimp relatedness. I got a response from a certain someone (names withheld to protect the ignorant) in which if my claim was true a human female should give birth to a chimp. I sent a polite email explaining his misunderstanding of the evolutionary process. He sent one back in which he told me to read scientific journals and then presented some interpretations of the findings he no doubt got from the discovery institute and then said scientist say evlution takes millions of years because they have nothing better to explain it. I politely responded again and told him that I was in fact a biologist and had read many jouasked for a source. This is what I got instead:
Subject: Re: evolution...
Message: You're a really bad biologist (or you're just pretending to be one).
"My last answer came from a professional journal.
Next time speak to the facts I gave you rather than acting like a typical no-brain bigot with false assumptions."

Okay. God has done SO much for everyone. Yes you have had bad things happen in your life, but so does everyone else. There would be no you, no me, no Earth if God hadn't placed it here. Be happy and believe. He died for you for goodness sake he was tortured and killed. Love him, praise him, for the rest of your life.

I thought you had to ask for forgiveness.

I'm sure that Cain couldn't have turned around and said he sacrificed Abel to God to repent for not giving a satisfactory sacrifice the first time.

Christians, if you are going to claim to be "smarter" than me, would you please spell the word "Muslim" correctly?

As an example,
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AjpBhlp70aGHGdIILoz9rnLd7BR.?qid=20070307055401AAO6NEU

Please note, I am not a Muslim, and do not claim to be smarter than anyone else.

I'm just here for the lobster, ain't that a bummer.

I propose that the most important concerns in any religion are godly virtues and our relationship with God.

How does your belief rule on this?
